Career development is done formally or informally. Degree earning program is one of the formal forms of career development. However, not all of these training programs are practical and meet the development expectations of learners. On the basis of an overview of basic theoretical issues about teacher professional development (concepts, characteristics and forms of teacher professional development), the article analyzes the relationship between professional development of teachers and students (teachers who participate in a master’s program specializing in educational management) and training for an application-oriented master of educational management. This relationship will work well when the application-oriented master’s degree in educational management meets requirements such as: training based on students’ needs, of the education system and educational management. education; training is focused, process-based and encourages the subjectivity of learners; focus on support and cooperation (between students and students, between lecturers and students) in the training process.
