Perspective from the quality inspection of training program on the relation between enterprises and univesities
In the previous years, our Southern Can Tho University and Vietnam Maritime University, had an inspection of the quality of the training program, both national and international quality inspection system, through which the author’s team had a number of angles on the post-graduate problems. This is an occation to make the reviewing and summarizing implementation practices on the issue of dipartite linkage between enterprises and universities. In recent years, the shortage of lecturers and workers—the lack of skilled workers— has not been a new problem, but it seems that the problem has been solved partially thanks to many modern educational policies. However, the quantity of university and college graduates who have to work outside the field of study, or even worse, contrary to the training profession, is not uncommon in Vietnam. If we do not want to admit that this is a common situation, with a pedagogical point of view, we need to review the accreditation of training programs on the issue of the relationship between enterprises and universities. Especially in the context that the accreditation of training programs is getting stronger and more drastic. Why can’t students apply for a long-term labor job in the right industry, right profession, and can’t connect with employers and enterprises? The following article will mention and analyze the current state of connection between enterprises and universities, in terms of issues such as the compatibility of training programs with recruitment requirements; the process of applying and implementing practice-oriented training programs in universities, especially in Vietnam.
