Working with the Regional Council of South Ostrobothnia (Finland)
On Jan. 9th 2019, the Meritorious, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Bui Van Quan, Rector of Ha Noi Metropolitan University (HNMU) had a working with the delegation of the Council of South Ostrobothnia Region (Finland) led by Mr. Kai Pontinen, Chairman.
The event had also the attendance of Prof. Dang Van Soa, Vice-Rector of Ha Noi Metropolitan University; Head of the Science-Technology and Cooperation Development Department, Dr. Nguyen Thi Kim Son; and heads of related departments and students.

At the meeting, Mr. Quan greatly appreciated the delegation of the Council of South Ostrobothnia Region paid a working visit to the HNMU. Introducing the history of the establisment and development of HNMU, he said the University was formerly known as Ha Noi Pedagogical College with a long history of training teachers for Ha Noi Capital and the whole country. Presently, the University has 01 Professor, 07 Associate Professors, 59 Doctors and 211 Masters with 24 undergraduated majors and 01 graduated major. Every year, the University has approximately 5,000 full-time students. The University always creates its own mark in the "Training Products". The scientific and technological research closely is associated with employers and social community, Quan emphasized.
Prof. Dang Van Soa, Vice-Rector of HNMU said in the recent years, the University has promoted the coorperating activities with prestigious universities in the contry and oversea such as Chihllee (Taiwan), Chinese Language and Culture School of Kunming , Vientiane - Hanoi Friendship Technical - Vocational College… The University also organizes many lecturers and students exchange programs studying abroad every year, he said.

Ms. Helli Kitinoja, Senior Advisor, Global Education Services, Seinajoki University of Applied Sciences introduced the University has currently 5,000 full-time students including 10% int’l students, 18 Bachelor, 12 Master programs, 16 Double Degree Programs with 4 main majors: Business and Culture; Technology; Health Care and Social Work; Food and Agriculture. With 210 international partner universities in 52 countries, 80 enterprises in the same Campus (triple-helix), the University operates under the working life based, internationally oriented education.
The meeting opened many opportunities for cooperation between HNMU and Seinajoki University of Applied Sciences, the Regional Council of South Ostrobothnia (Finland).
