Hanoi Metropolitan University welcomes and works with the Yunnan Academy of Social Sciences (China).

Conference Overview.
In order to strengthen international cooperation and expand academic connections, Hanoi Metropolitan University organized a working session with the Yunnan Academy of Social Sciences (China) to exchange views on research and training orientations aligned with the University’s development strategy.
Attending the conference on behalf of the Academy were Mr. Hou Sheng, Vice President of the Yunnan Academy of Social Sciences; Ms. Zhao Shulan, Director of the Institute of Southeast Asian Studies, along with members of the delegation. On behalf of the University were Dr. Bui Quoc Hoan, Vice President of Hanoi Metropolitan University, together with lecturers and staff from relevant units.

Speaking at the working session, Dr. Bui Quoc Hoan, Vice President of Hanoi Metropolitan University, emphasized that the presence of the delegation from the Yunnan Academy of Social Sciences is clear evidence of the increasingly deep and effective cooperative relationship between Hanoi and Yunnan, as well as between Vietnam and China. The Vice President noted that Hanoi Metropolitan University is currently focusing on developing four strategic fields: Teacher Education – Culture and the People of Hanoi – Economics and Urban Studies – Technology and Environment. These key orientations have recently been approved by the Hanoi People’s Committee, aiming to train high-quality human resources to serve the sustainable development of the Capital. Dr. Bui Quoc Hoan affirmed that the working session provided an important opportunity for both sides to exchange views, share experiences, and open up new opportunities for cooperation in scientific research and training.

At the working session, both sides engaged in open discussions on orientations for cooperation in research and training, particularly in the fields of Culture – Ethnology – Linguistics – Southeast Asian Studies. The delegates expressed their desire to enhance academic cooperation, share experts, and organize student exchange programs, thereby contributing to mutual understanding and strengthening the friendship between the peoples of Vietnam and China.
Hanoi Metropolitan University was pleased to welcome and work with the delegation from the Yunnan Academy of Social Sciences (China), a leading comprehensive academic research institution of Yunnan Province in the fields of social sciences, humanities, ethnology, economics, linguistics, and regional culture. The working session between Hanoi Metropolitan University and the Yunnan Academy of Social Sciences was held successfully, opening up many prospects for practical cooperation in the coming time. Both sides agreed to continue maintaining academic exchanges, promoting research collaboration, and implementing cooperative programs in line with the capacity and strengths of each institution. This marks an important step forward in strengthening intellectual connections between Hanoi and Yunnan, while supporting the University in achieving its goals of training high-quality human resources and developing scientific and educational programs for the sustainable development of the Capital.
