The University Council of Hanoi Metropolitan University holds its 23rd meeting.

On the afternoon of September 30, the University Council of Hanoi Metropolitan University held its 23rd meeting, chaired by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyễn Anh Tuấn, Chairman of the University Council.
At the meeting, the members focused on discussing and providing opinions on six key groups of issues related to the new academic year’s plan, quality objectives, development of academic programs, financial governance, the supervisory role of the University Council, and leadership personnel arrangements.

Regarding tasks for the new academic year, the members agreed with the draft plan, emphasizing the need to ensure linkage among enrollment – training – research – community service, while paying attention to quality indicators for measuring outcomes. Setting quality objectives was highlighted as a crucial step for the academic year’s activities: from program learning outcomes, course standardization, to academic discipline and examinations.
The policy of opening new majors was considered a strategic decision, requiring forecasts of labor market demand in the Capital and surrounding areas, assessment of faculty capacity, facilities, training programs, and linkages with businesses and localities. In 2026, Hanoi Metropolitan University plans to open the following majors: Biotechnology, Vietnamese Language and Culture, and Sports Coaching. At the meeting, the delegates unanimously approved the policy of launching these new programs.

In addition, the meeting approved the reappointment of the Vice Rector position for Comrade Nguyễn Văn Tuân and Comrade Bùi Quốc Hoàn.
