Overview of the program.
On December 7, at Campus 4 of Hanoi Metropolitan University, the Institute of Hanoi Studies & International Training organized the 2025 Review and Experience Program of the Hanoi Studies Space. This activity was implemented under Project 1209 issued by the People’s Committee of Hanoi City, aiming to provide Hanoi Studies training for general education teachers in the city during the 2021–2025 period, with orientation toward 2030 and a vision to 2045. This is a long-term, forward-looking policy that connects academic knowledge with the requirements of developing the people of the Capital in the new period.

Attending the program were Dr. Bùi Quốc Hoàn, Vice President of Hanoi Metropolitan University; representatives of the Institute of Hanoi Studies & International Training; along with a large number of teachers and lecturers from schools across Hanoi City.

Dr. Lê Thị Thu Hương, Director of the Institute of Hanoi Studies & International Training, speaking at the program.
In her remarks at the ceremony, Dr. Lê Thị Thu Hương, Director of the Institute of Hanoi Studies & International Training, affirmed that Project 1209 is not merely a training program but also a strategic step toward building a team of teachers with deep understanding of the history, culture, and geography of Thang Long – Hanoi; thereby contributing to fostering the qualities of “Elegant and Civilized Hanoians” in the younger generation. In its role as the standing unit, the University and the Institute of Hanoi Studies have implemented a system of in-depth learning materials, scientific thematic modules, and the Hanoi Studies Space model – a vivid, intuitive, and inspiring training approach.

Participants visited and experienced the Hanoi Studies Space – an exhibition area designed as a vivid visual model that recreates multiple layers of cultural, historical, architectural, and urban life sediment of Thang Long – Hanoi. The space includes a system of models, artifacts, and thematic documents, enabling participants to approach Hanoi Studies from a visual perspective and to touch the “soul of Thang Long” through activities such as observation, lectures, discussions, and direct interaction. This is also an important experiential step that helps participants easily apply knowledge to teaching practice, especially in the context of Hanoi’s orientation toward preserving and disseminating the cultural values of the Capital through education.
The course not only provided a systematic body of knowledge on the history, culture, and geography of Hanoi but also created a professional foundation enabling teachers and lecturers to effectively apply Hanoi Studies in teaching and educational activities at their institutions. The learner representative expressed appreciation for the thorough preparation of the Organizing Committee and the teaching staff, sharing that the course offered many fresh perspectives, inspired love for Hanoi, and reinforced teachers’ sense of responsibility in transmitting the cultural values of the Capital to students. The University and the Institute of Hanoi Studies & International Training implemented the program in a structured and scientific manner—from developing learning materials and organizing thematic sessions to conducting experiential activities—helping participants “touch” the cultural layers and more deeply appreciate the thousand-year heritage and the responsibility of disseminating Hanoi Studies knowledge in each lesson.
At the conclusion of the program, the University Board of Management and the leadership of the Institute of Hanoi Studies & International Training presented Certificates of Commendation for course completion to the participants. This recognition honors the efforts and learning spirit of the teachers and serves as motivation for them to continue applying Hanoi Studies knowledge in teaching practice, contributing to the development of a creative, humane, and culturally rich educational environment imbued with the identity of Thang Long – Hanoi. Hanoi Metropolitan University and the Institute of Hanoi Studies & International Training reaffirm their commitment to continuing to accompany and develop training–experience models, jointly building a team of Capital teachers who understand Hanoi, love Hanoi, and inspire future generations about Hanoi.
