Conference on Reviewing Party Affairs in 2025 and Implementing Key Tasks and Directions for 2026 at Hanoi Metropolitan University.

On the afternoon of February 3, 2026, the Party Committee of Hanoi Metropolitan University solemnly held the Conference to review Party affairs in 2025 and implement directions and tasks for 2026.
The Conference was attended by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyễn Anh Tuấn, Deputy Director of the Hanoi Department of Science and Technology, former Secretary of the Party Committee and former Chairman of the University Council; Dr. Trần Anh Tuấn, Secretary of the Party Committee and Vice President; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Đỗ Hồng Cường, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and President; Dr. Bùi Quốc Hoàn, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and Vice President; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyễn Văn Tuân, Member of the Standing Committee, Chairman of the Inspection Committee and Vice President; along with all Party Committee members, Secretaries and Deputy Secretaries of Party cells, and Party members of the University.

Over the past year, the Party Committee led and directed numerous meaningful activities to commemorate major national holidays and important political events. The University actively participated in the 2025 Political Essay Contest on protecting the Party’s ideological foundation, submitting 44 entries and winning one Third Prize at the City level. In response to the “Culture of Legal Compliance” contest organized by Kinh tế & Đô thị Newspaper and the Hanoi Department of Justice, 224 entries were submitted by Party members. The University also raised VND 72,275,000 to support communities affected by storms and floods.
Party development work was strengthened, with procedures completed for admitting 40 outstanding individuals to the Party and 254 participants attending Party awareness training courses. Party cells effectively implemented the “Electronic Party Member Handbook” and the “Party Administrative Procedures Information System,” enhancing management and operational efficiency.
In governance, the Party Committee directed asset declarations for 2024, restructured organizational units toward greater efficiency, and ensured appropriate personnel placement according to professional expertise and job positions.
In training and quality assurance, 28 undergraduate programs were reviewed and adjusted, with two programs undergoing accreditation assessment. Large-scale professional training was conducted for 1,414 teachers seeking professional title certification; 975 participants in Natural Sciences, History, and Geography training; and 300 participants in IT certification review courses. Teacher education students continued to receive tuition support in accordance with policy. The 2025 admissions cycle ensured both quality and quantity, with 19 out of 31 majors having entry scores of 24 points or higher.
Scientific research and development cooperation were promoted with two international conferences, three national conferences, one city-level conference, and 42 institutional seminars and workshops. The University recorded 37 international publications (a 160% increase compared to the previous year), 315 domestic publications, and 306 research projects involving students.
In terms of facilities, the University completed a public asset inventory, issued five guidance documents on tax management for staff, and implemented renovation projects for Buildings B2 and B4 and other infrastructure items with a total investment of VND 14.6 billion. Additional projects included a dormitory, gymnasium, and sports field in Sóc Sơn with a total investment of VND 14.2 billion.
Mass organizations achieved notable results. The Trade Union provided Lunar New Year gifts to 38 staff members, supported disadvantaged employees, organized recognition programs for staff members’ children, implemented two charitable programs totaling VND 521.4 million, and contributed VND 450 million to the Government’s housing support initiative. All union members received full benefits and periodic health check-ups.
The Youth Union and Student Association successfully organized the 10th Student Association Congress, ranked in the Top 5 of the 2025 “Ánh sáng soi đường” City-level contest, held two blood donation drives collecting 714 units of blood (the highest in five years), and achieved 200 “Five-Good Student” titles at the University level and 57 at the City level.
During 2024–2025, the University received numerous prestigious awards, including a Certificate of Merit from the Prime Minister, commendations from the Hanoi Party Committee and the Hanoi People’s Committee, the “Outstanding Emulation Unit” Flag for 2024, and recognition as a “Safe and Secure Institution” in 2024.

The Party Committee sincerely acknowledged his dedication and extended best wishes for his continued success in fulfilling his duties as Deputy Director of the Hanoi Department of Science and Technology, as assigned by the Hanoi Party Committee and the Hanoi People’s Committee.

In his closing remarks at the Conference reviewing Party affairs in 2025 and outlining directions and tasks for 2026, Dr. Trần Anh Tuấn, Secretary of the Party Committee, emphasized several key priorities for 2026. These include continuing to enhance the quality of political and ideological education; innovating leadership methods to ensure greater scientific rigor, efficiency, and practical relevance; strengthening inspection and supervision to maintain Party discipline; closely linking Party building with professional duties; and promoting digital transformation and innovation in higher education.
The 2025 Party Affairs Review Conference was a significant political event, reflecting the University’s serious and responsible approach to Party building. Its success reinforced confidence and generated new momentum for the Party Committee to further strengthen its core leadership role and guide Hanoi Metropolitan University toward sustainable development in the new stage.
