Intercultural Education in the Context of Integration

On May 27, 2024, Hanoi Metropolitan University issued Announcement No. 1 regarding the organization of the 5th International Scientific Conference on Culture and Education (ICCE 2024) with the theme: “Intercultural Education in the Context of Integration.” The Organizing Committee has received a large number of abstracts, showing the interest of scholars both inside and outside the country. The Organizing Committee wishes to continue receiving submissions from scientists and hereby announces the plan for the conference as follows:

    Intercultural Education in the Context of Integration

  2. Content of the conference:
    The conference focuses on the following main topics:

  • Intercultural approaches from historical, sociological, anthropological, pedagogical, and psychological perspectives (issues of post-colonialism, immigration, diaspora, studying abroad...)

  • Categories of intercultural theory (diversity, interaction, equality, dialogue...)

  • Intercultural dialogue in the trend of integration

  • Interculturality and geopolitical issues

  • Interculturality and migrant/diaspora literature

  • Challenges of intercultural education in the integration era

  • Experiences of intercultural education from countries around the world

  • Intercultural education in primary and university curricula

  • Intercultural skills and communication in education (especially teaching foreign languages to foreigners)

  • Interculturality in globalized education and environment

  • Educational solutions for interculturality in the trend of integration

  • Educational cooperation in the spirit of interculturality

  • Hanoi culture in the flow of international integration

  • Hue ancient capital – intercultural heritage in the context of integration

  • Intercultural marks in Ho Chi Minh City and the Southern region

  2. Deadline for Registration and Submission of Papers:

  • Full paper submission: before October 25, 2024
    (Full papers are accepted even if abstracts were not submitted previously)

  • Notification of paper acceptance: before November 8, 2024

  • Confirmation of attendance and presentation registration: before November 22, 2024

  • Accepted papers will be published in the full-text Proceedings with an ISBN in Vietnam.
