Strengthening Cooperation between Duy Tan University and Hanoi Metropolitan University

The working program between Duy Tan University and Hanoi Metropolitan University is not only a bridge for cooperation but also affirms the pioneering role of Microlearning in innovating higher education in Vietnam.

 

On September 13, at Hanoi Metropolitan University, a working session and cooperation exchange took place between Duy Tan University (Da Nang) and Hanoi Metropolitan University. The program attracted the participation of leaders from both universities, experts, lecturers, and staff interested in innovating teaching methods, particularly Microlearning – a modern teaching and learning trend that is being strongly implemented in education. Dr. Le Nguyen Bao, Director of Duy Tan University, and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Van Tuan, Vice President of Hanoi Metropolitan University, engaged in many important discussions.

In the morning session, experts from Duy Tan University shared an overview of Microlearning – a learning approach based on compact, flexible units that can be easily applied in both higher and general education. In particular, the Duy Tan University delegation presented practical experiences in: Designing Microlearning lessons with concise and focused content; Applying supportive tools to produce videos and illustrative clips; and Evaluating effectiveness, showing that students are more engaged, with improved knowledge retention and application.

In the afternoon, the two sides focused on discussions regarding postgraduate training cooperation. They exchanged views on the potential for joint Master's and Doctoral programs, the promotion of scientific research and international publications, as well as mechanisms for student exchange.

The Duy Tan University delegation also had the opportunity to visit the training facilities, practice schools, and research centers of Hanoi Metropolitan University – thereby laying the foundation for broader cooperation in training and pedagogical practice.

At the conclusion of the working session, the two sides reached the following agreements: On Microlearning, Duy Tan University will share its pioneering model and collaborate with Hanoi Metropolitan University to develop digital learning resources and new training products. On postgraduate training, the two universities will expand opportunities for joint training and research programs. On academic exchange, they will strengthen connections between faculty and students, creating more opportunities for scientific exchange and training activities in the future.
