SHORT -TERM ABROAD ENGLISH – TRADE PRACTICE LEARNING AND WORKING OPPORTUNITIES FOR HNMU STUDENTS
To enhance training quality towards education global citizens, HNMU has had many activities promoting international cooperation, especially in education and training. HNMU has provided many chances for students of Chinese and English majors to study abroad. In the exchange program, English majored students have chance to practice their job in Chihlee University of Technology – Taiwan – Chinese
Before students coming to Taiwan (Chinese) for working practice in Taiwan, on June 20th 2017, HNMU organized an online meeting between the group of exchange students and the representatives from the Department of international cooperation of Chihlee University of Technology. Dr. Huong Bui Thanh – Vice Director of HNMU Science – Technology and Cooperation Development Department and MA. Lan Trinh Phan Thi Phong – Vice Dean of HNMU Faculty of Foreign Languages also attended the meetings.

During the time in Taiwan, the group of HNMU students will have chance to take the TOEIC tests, take part in working skill trainings with foreigner lecturers, and practice their work in commercial exhibitions. Besides, they can join many voluntary and cultural exchange activities with students at Chihlee University of Technology. The best students after the practice can have opportunity to receive scholarships to learn at the university here. Both two universities lecturers exchange specialized knowledge through online discussions.
English for tourism and trade practice – possible working opportunities
It can be said that, nowadays, with the development of globalized trade, multinationals companies are growing, including Taiwanese companies. When HNMU students complete their practice, they will have chances to work at many Taiwanese companies and enterprises whose branches are in Vietnam. If the students are active and confident, many working opportunities will come up to them.
After the meeting, the group of English major students who are coming to Chihlee University of Technology have been equipped with a lot of information and preparation for the coming practice. With the priorities given by both two universities, the care and observation of the teachers from both universities, the practice time of those students will probably succeed.
