Scam Alert: "International Scholarship" Fraud Using the Name of Hanoi Metropolitan University
Recently, Hanoi Metropolitan University has recorded incidents where individuals impersonate university staff and lecturers to scam students by announcing fake international student exchange programs.

These individuals request students to transfer money to personal bank accounts under the pretense of paying fees for scholarship participation. Hanoi Metropolitan University issues this warning so that parents, students, and learners are aware and can avoid being deceived by impersonators.
Hanoi Metropolitan University affirms that it does not organize any such scholarship programs. All information regarding scholarships and international exchange programs is publicly available on the University’s official website and Facebook Fanpage. Parents and students are advised not to provide personal information or transfer money to any personal accounts without proper verification.
How to identify scam behavior:
The scammers contact students via email, text messages, or phone calls, falsely claiming to be university staff without any verifiable credentials.
They request students to provide personal information or pay money to participate in a scholarship program.
The scholarship information is not available on the university’s official communication channels.
When receiving any information related to scholarships, students should carefully verify it via the official website or contact the Office of Academic Affairs and Student Services directly. If any suspicious behavior is detected, students should immediately report it to the University or the appropriate authorities for timely support.
