Representatives from Chinese Language and Culture School of Kunming (Yunnan - China) visited HNMU

In the framework of the visiting to Ha Noi Metropolitan University (HNMU), on Nov. 26th 2018, the delegation of Chinese Language and Culture School of Kunming, led by the Rector of the University, Mr. Kim Hai had a working session with HNMU. The event attracted the attendance of HNMU’s Board of Rectors, heads of related departments and students.

In the framework of the visiting to Ha Noi Metropolitan University (HNMU), on Nov. 29th 2018, the delegation of Chinese Language and Culture School of Kunming, led by the Rector of the University, Mr. Kim Hai had a meeting with HNMU. The event attracted the attendance of HNMU’s Board of Rectors, heads of related departments and students.

According to the Director of the Center for Developing Chinese Ability and Resources (HNMU), Dr. Khuong said the Center was carrying advertising activities in order to attract students to join and research. The Center’s activities were stuck to the Chinese Club to promote Chinese using abilty of Chinese majored at HNMU and people who were concerned. Firstly, the Center focused on preparing for the examination HSK level 2 for Chinese majored and beginner students from December 2018. Moreover, the Center cooperated with the Chinese club to open Chinese classes from 5:00 pm. every Tuesday and Thursday. The Center collected and exhibited Chinese books and materials which students could see and borrow. Secondly, the center organised multicultural and artistic events through different competitions.

Speaking at the meeting, Mr. Kim Hai said the trend of using Chinese in Viet Nam had been raising, which meant the demand for Chinese teaching and training had increased so the organizing the center is the right direction. He hoped the center would well-develop under the lead of HNMU’s Board of Rector. The Chinese Language and Culture School of Kunming promised to support the Center during its operation.

Closing the meeting, Rector of HNMU, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Bui Van Quan asserted that they had been investing the facilities and resources for the Center to promote teaching and learning Chinese. HNMU welcomed lecturers and students from Chinese Language and Culture School of Kunming for researching, working and studying in the future.
