On the morning of January 9th, the Vietnam Student Association of Hanoi Metropolitan University solemnly held a rally to celebrate the 74th anniversary of the Traditional Day of Students and the Vietnam Student Association (January 9, 1950 – January 9, 2024); the 66th anniversary of the Traditional Day of Hanoi Metropolitan University (January 6, 1959 – January 6, 2024); and to honor the “Five-Good Students” at both the University and City levels..

Attending the ceremony, on behalf of the Hanoi City Student Association was Comrade Phạm Tấn Phát – Deputy Head of the Youth School Committee of the Hanoi Youth Union; on behalf of Hanoi Metropolitan University was Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyễn Văn Tuân – Member of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee and Vice Rector of the University, along with representatives of the university’s leadership units, officials, lecturers, and students throughout the university.

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyễn Văn Tuân, Vice Rector of the University, delivered a speech at the ceremony.

In his address, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyễn Văn Tuân congratulated and acknowledged the achievements of the University’s Student Association so far, while urging the Association to continue promoting the spirit of solidarity, connection, and to strongly advance student activities and movements within the University. He emphasized that the Party Committee and the University’s Board of Directors always pay close attention to and accompany students in both their academic pursuits and the development of soft skills, as well as raising students’ awareness in the context of international integration.

On behalf of more than 8,000 students at the University, Comrade Trương Thị Minh Huyền – Deputy Secretary of the Youth Union and Chairwoman of the Student Association, sent congratulations and gratitude to the Party Committee, the University Board of Directors, and all teachers on the occasion of the University’s Traditional Day.

It was a great honor and pride that during the ceremony, the Executive Committee of the University’s Student Association was awarded the Emulation Flag by the Vietnam Student Association of Hanoi City, recognizing the unit as an outstanding leader in student activities and movements among colleges, universities, and academies in Hanoi.

The Executive Committee of the University’s Student Association was honored to receive the Emulation Flag from the Vietnam Student Association of Hanoi City.

On this occasion, the organizers also honored 55 “Five-Good” students at the city level and 131 “Five-Good” students at the university level for the academic year 2024; encouraging the continuous efforts and dedication of each student within the University over the past year. The Vietnam Student Association of Hanoi Metropolitan University ranked among the top 6 outstanding units leading in the number of students awarded the “Five-Good Student” title at the city level among colleges, universities, and academies in Hanoi.
