Promoting cooperation with Yantai University of Foreign Languages (China).

On the afternoon of April 8, 2026, Hanoi Metropolitan University held a working session with the delegation from Yantai University of Foreign Languages to discuss cooperation orientations in training, scientific research, and the implementation of student exchange programs, thereby contributing to strengthening the University’s educational internationalization efforts.

Attending the working session, representatives from Yantai University of Foreign Languages included Assoc. Prof. Dr. Cheng Chao-Hsun and Ms. Nguyễn Thị Ngọc Lan, Project Lecturer. On behalf of Hanoi Metropolitan University, participants included Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyễn Văn Tuân, Vice President of the University; leaders of relevant departments; lecturers; students from the Faculty of Foreign Languages; and representatives from the Institute of Hanoi Studies and International Education.

Speaking at the session, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyễn Văn Tuân introduced the history, formation, and development of Hanoi Metropolitan University. He emphasized that the meeting served as an opportunity for both sides to exchange information, better understand each other’s strengths, and orient future cooperation activities, particularly in training, scientific research, and academic exchange. He also expressed the hope that, with goodwill and a spirit of cooperation from both institutions, the discussions would soon be translated into effective collaborative programs, contributing to improved training quality and the expansion of the University’s international partnership network.

During the session, Dr. Bùi Văn Tuấn proposed that both sides strengthen cooperation in three major areas: training, the implementation of short-term exchange and professional development programs, and the promotion of student exchange between the two universities. Accordingly, the Institute of Hanoi Studies & International Education hopes to send students to study and gain experience at Yantai University of Foreign Languages, while also welcoming students from the partner university to Hanoi Metropolitan University. In addition, Hanoi Metropolitan University regularly organizes international scientific conferences and expressed its wish for Yantai University of Foreign Languages to participate as an academic partner by sending delegates and research papers.
