On the morning of March 3, 2026, at Campus 4, Hanoi Metropolitan University organized the Launching Ceremony for the “Tree Planting Festival – Forever Grateful to Uncle Ho” and Youth Month 2026.
Attending the ceremony on behalf of Hanoi Metropolitan University were Dr. Trần Anh Tuấn, Secretary of the Party Committee and Vice President; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Đỗ Hồng Cường, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and President; Dr. Bùi Quốc Hoàn, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and Vice President; along with leaders of various units. Representing Thăng Long Primary, Secondary and High School was M.A. Phạm Thị Bích Ngọc, President of the school, together with teachers, staff, and employees. Representing the University Youth Union – Student Association was M.A. Hà Thu Thủy, Secretary of the Youth Union, along with youth members, students, and pupils throughout the institution.

Dr. Trần Anh Tuấn, Secretary of the Party Committee and Vice President, delivered the opening speech.
In his remarks, Dr. Trần Anh Tuấn emphasized the practical significance of the Tree Planting Festival. He noted that this is not only a traditional activity but also a concrete action demonstrating today’s generation’s responsibility toward the environment and a sustainable future. Planting and caring for trees contributes to creating a green, clean, and beautiful educational environment while fostering environmental awareness and responsibility in every individual. He expressed his hope that all staff, lecturers, youth members, pupils, and students would continue spreading a proactive spirit by actively participating in environmental activities, turning today’s practical actions into a foundation for the sustainable development of Hanoi Metropolitan University in the years ahead.

M.A. Hà Thu Thủy, Secretary of the Youth Union, on behalf of the University’s youth, delivered a pledge of determination.
Representing the Youth Union – Student Association, M.A. Hà Thu Thủy affirmed that the youth of Hanoi Metropolitan University would embrace the University leadership’s directions and translate them into practical actions. Accordingly, the University’s youth committed to effectively implementing the Tree Planting Festival, not only by planting trees on launch day but also by continuing to care for and protect them to ensure sustainable growth, thereby contributing to a “Green – Clean – Beautiful – Civilized” campus. At the same time, youth members pledged to take the lead in volunteer activities during Youth Month, undertake practical projects connected to academic expertise, promote creativity and pioneering spirit in study, scientific research, and digital transformation, and strive in learning, ethics, and lifestyle while contributing actively to the University’s overall development.



University leaders together with the Youth Union – Student Association carried out tree planting activities at the Palm Hill area of Campus 4.
Immediately after the ceremony, leaders, youth members, and students participated in commemorative tree planting and expanded planting activities in the Palm Hill area at Campus 4. At the same time, the Youth Union – Student Association officially launched Youth Month 2026 with campus cleaning and landscape improvement activities. Volunteer youth teams carried out waste collection, grass cutting, and tree care, contributing to a greener, cleaner, and more beautiful learning environment.

The Launching Ceremony for the “Tree Planting Festival – Forever Grateful to Uncle Ho” and Youth Month 2026 was not only the opening activity for a vibrant month of youth engagement but also demonstrated the proactive spirit and responsibility of Hanoi Metropolitan University’s youth in joining hands to build a greener, more civilized, and increasingly sustainable educational environment every day.
