2. Functions and Duties

Admissions Work

  • Lead the development of the undergraduate admissions proposal.

  • Organize annual undergraduate admissions counseling and recruitment according to the Ministry of Education and Training's plan.

Training Management

  • Lead the development of management documents, training regulations, and rules for undergraduate programs.

  • Lead the management and development of undergraduate training programs.

  • Oversee the organization and management of full-time undergraduate programs, including: curriculum and study duration; planning and organizing teaching; academic performance; monitoring and supervision of training activities; and other activities (temporary leave, dropping out, changing majors, transferring institutions, transferring study modes, student exchange and collaboration in training, dual programs, handling violations by students).

  • Manage training programs and study duration for distance learning, part-time, and other undergraduate programs.

  • Organize and manage military education, physical education, non-specialized foreign language training, and supplementary semesters. Design and implement other training models as assigned by the Rector.

  • Collaborate with units and advise the Rector on: faculty development; educational activities at the Thang Long primary, secondary, and high schools.

  • Lead and coordinate with units to implement public work at Hanoi Metropolitan University.

Student Management

  • Lead the development of management documents and regulations on student affairs and academic advising.

  • Organize the reception and management of student records, oversee comprehensive data management on students. Organize administrative classes and class leaders for administrative units.

  • Lead the management of political education, ideological, cultural, moral, lifestyle, and life skills education; organize cultural, artistic, physical, sports activities, professional development, career guidance, and support for students across the University. Advise the University on improving and supplementing facilities for study, recreation, and student activities.

  • Manage academic advising and support student affairs in educational units.

  • Lead the evaluation of students' conduct, rewards, and discipline; implement policies and procedures for students.

  • Develop scholarship funds, social assistance, training credits, and other funding sources for education from domestic and international organizations and individuals. Propose efficient management and use of these resources.

  • Build a network of employers, organize job fairs, annual customer conferences, and event-based meetings. Create a communication system with students from different cohorts; collaborate with relevant units to conduct surveys of students, alumni, and employers.
