HNMU works with the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sport, Cambodia
On Nov 27th 2018, Board of Rectors and heads of related departments of Ha Noi Metropolitan University (HNMU) had a meeting with the delegation of the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sport of Cambodia led by Mr. Put Samith – Director General in charge of Education.

At the meeting, the Rector of HNMU, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Bui Van Quan appreciated the delegation of the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sport of Cambodia paid a working visit to the HNMU.
Mr. Quan introduced the history of the establisment and development of HNMU, especially the Faculty of Primary Education. Currently, the Faculty of Primary Education is training both college and university levels basing on the model of Rethinking Education initiated by UNESCO, he said.

Sharing with the delegation, he also expressed that in order to plan a training program for students of the Faculty of Primary Education, HNMU paid attention to support learners enhancing their abilities rather than to equip them fully knowledge to become scientists. On the other hand, the university has built a network of primary schools so that students can study reality and do internship. This method will help students to enhance their actual capacity after graduation.

Speaking at the meeting, Mr. Put Samith thanked HNMU’s Board of Rectors for the warmly welcome and highly valued the trainning model of the Faculty of Primary Education.

Closing the event, leaders of the two delegations exchanged meaningful souvenirs bearing the cultural characteristics of the two nations. The meeting was successful!
