HNMU students have taken part in many national Olympic competitions and achieved many high prizes, which is a pride of HNMU and it contributes to the promotion of the university.

The national Olympic competition is a creative playground for students from all colleges and universities. This activity has advanced teaching and learning quality, as well as discovered and trained high quality students for scientific majors.

In the school year 2016-2017, HNMU’s faculty of natural sciences has math team and physics team taking part in the national Olympic competition. Ms. Nguyen Thi Thuy Hong – Head of Math Division took the math team to the competition at Phu Yen University (from April 10 to April 15). Ms. Nguyen Thi Thuan – Head of Physics Division took the physics team to the competition at Tan Trao University (from April 20th to April 23th).

The math team got 2 first prizes, 2 third prizes and 2 encouraging prizes; the whole team was given paper of merit for having excellent performance in the competition. The physics team has 5 third prizes and ranked third in the competition.

These are praiseworthy achievement for students of a university which was promoted from a college 2 years ago, the students are educated in college level but competed with students from other university which have long reputation in training in the fields. These achievements are motivations for HNMU students and teachers in the future time.
