Closing Ceremony of the External Evaluation for Four Academic Programs: Information Technology, Political Science, Mathematics Teacher Education, and Literature Teacher Education
Prof. Dr. Nguyễn Hữu Đức, Head of the external evaluation expert team, provided his assessment of the evaluation criteria for the academic programs.
After five days of work, from December 23 to 27, 2023, the external evaluation expert team from the Center for Education Accreditation – Vietnam National University, Hanoi, in collaboration with Hanoi Metropolitan University, held the Closing Ceremony of the official external assessment for four academic programs: Information Technology, Political Science, Mathematics Teacher Education, and Literature Teacher Education.

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyễn Vũ Bích Hiền, Rector of Hanoi Metropolitan University, delivered a speech at the Closing Ceremony.
On behalf of the university leadership and the entire faculty and staff of Hanoi Metropolitan University, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyễn Vũ Bích Hiền, Rector of the university, expressed her honor to work with the external evaluation expert team and the Center for Education Accreditation – Vietnam National University, Hanoi, in assessing the quality of the university’s academic programs. She also expressed confidence in the fairness and professionalism of the evaluation team, which she believes has helped the university gain a deeper understanding of its current position and institutional value.
Rector Nguyễn Vũ Bích Hiền affirmed that quality assessment and accreditation in education and training are major policies of the State, creating an opportunity for universities in general—and Hanoi Metropolitan University in particular—to recognize their strengths and limitations, clearly identify areas in need of improvement, and serve long-term institutional development goals.
Based on the recommendations made by the external evaluation team regarding the four academic programs, Hanoi Metropolitan University will develop a comprehensive report, fully incorporate expert feedback, and build a university-wide action plan that integrates management and implementation focused on quality. This plan will emphasize inclusive participation by all members of the institution, aiming for sustainable development driven by stakeholder satisfaction and striving to become a reputable university both nationally and regionally.

Speaking at the Closing Ceremony, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Đinh Văn Toàn, Deputy Director of the Center for Education Accreditation – Vietnam National University, Hanoi, highly praised the serious and determined engagement of the leadership at Hanoi Metropolitan University in the assessment and accreditation process. The university’s Board of Management provided close and timely guidance to departments and units, while the faculty, staff, and students made great efforts and demonstrated strong coordination throughout the evaluation period.
He also acknowledged the dedication, objectivity, professionalism, and responsibility demonstrated by the external evaluation team and the Center for Education Accreditation, all of whom worked with fairness and commitment. Their aim, he emphasized, was to help the university continue to grow and fulfill its role as a leading institution of higher education in the capital city.
Based on the evaluation of set criteria, the external expert team offered an overview of their findings, highlighting both the strengths and limitations of the university according to the scoring scale, and provided appropriate recommendations to support the university’s future development.
At the Closing Ceremony, the external evaluation team, the Center for Education Accreditation – Vietnam National University, Hanoi, and Hanoi Metropolitan University signed the memorandum confirming the completion of the official site visit for the evaluation of four academic programs: Information Technology, Political Science, Mathematics Teacher Education, and Literature Teacher Education.
