Opening Ceremony of the 471st AUN-QA External Assessment at Hanoi Metropolitan University
On the morning of October 7, Hanoi Metropolitan University held the opening ceremony for the official external assessment of its undergraduate programs in English Language and Primary Education according to the AUN-QA (ASEAN University Network – Quality Assurance) standards. This important event marks a new milestone in the University’s journey toward regional and international integration and continuous improvement of training quality.
Attending the ceremony were Prof. Dr. Kiran Kaur, Head of the AUN-QA Assessment Team, along with evaluation experts and members of the AUN-QA Secretariat. Representing Hanoi Metropolitan University were Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyễn Anh Tuấn – Chairman of the University Council, Dr. Bùi Quốc Hoàn – Vice Rector, leaders of units, members of the self-assessment council, specialized working groups, lecturers, students, and alumni representatives.

Speaking at the ceremony, Dr. Bùi Quốc Hoàn – Vice Rector of Hanoi Metropolitan University – introduced an overview of the University’s mission and role in training high-quality human resources for the Capital and the nation. He emphasized that cooperation with AUN-QA demonstrates the University’s strong commitment to continuously improving training quality according to regional and international standards. Dr. Hoàn expressed his hope that this assessment would open a new stage of development, enhancing the competitiveness of the University’s graduates in the global labor market.

Representing the assessment team, Prof. Dr. Kiran Kaur – Team Leader – expressed sincere appreciation for the warm welcome extended by Hanoi Metropolitan University and expressed confidence that the assessment process would be conducted effectively, yielding practical outcomes for the University’s educational quality enhancement.
The assessment will take place over three days, from October 7 to October 9, 2025. During this period, the team of experts will conduct various activities, including studying program documentation and evidence, conducting in-depth interviews with stakeholders (lecturers, students, alumni, and administrators), inspecting facilities and learning environments, and working directly with the University’s leadership and functional units.
