HNMU 2025–2026 Startup Innovation Final Round

On the morning of June 10, Hanoi Metropolitan University organized the Final Round of the Student Startup Innovation Competition for the academic year 2025–2026. The event served as an important academic platform to honor outstanding startup ideas while fostering students’ creativity, critical thinking, and adaptability in response to social changes. The program provided an opportunity for student teams to present and defend their ideas before the professional judging panel, while also contributing to the transformation of academic knowledge into practical solutions addressing real-world issues of communities and businesses.
Attending the program, from external guests, there was Ms. Bui Thi Ngan, Deputy General Director of Nova Education Technology Joint Stock Company. Representing Hanoi Metropolitan University were Dr. Tran Anh Tuan, Member of the Hanoi Party Committee, Secretary of the University Party Committee, Vice President of the University and Chairman of the Judging Council; Dr. Dinh Thi Kim Thuong, Head of the Department of Science, Technology Management and Development Cooperation; MSc. Ha Thu Thuy, Secretary of the University Youth Union and Deputy Head of the Department of Academic Affairs and Student Affairs; together with lecturers and outstanding students of Hanoi Metropolitan University.

Speaking at the final round, Dr. Tran Anh Tuan, Vice President of the University, emphasized that the Student Startup Innovation Competition is not only a platform for students to showcase their ideas but also an opportunity to develop critical thinking, practical skills, and the ability to transform knowledge into real-world solutions. The projects presented at the competition clearly demonstrated students’ innovative spirit and confidence in responding to social changes.

According to the judging panel, many projects in this year’s competition were carefully developed in terms of content, implementation plans, and commercialization potential.
The competition received 45 diverse projects from various fields. Through rigorous selection rounds, the six most outstanding projects advanced to the final round, competing for First and Second Prizes while aiming to develop models with practical commercialization potential.
At the final round, participating teams presented their projects within a maximum duration of 15 minutes, followed by responses to questions and feedback from the judging panel, lecturers, and attending delegates.

At the end of the competition, the Judging Council awarded three First Prizes to the following projects: “Designing the MeloHeart application to support emotional intelligence development for 5–6-year-old children with Autism Spectrum Disorder in inclusive preschool education”; “Creative Children’s Playground Producing Products from Tò He Clay Combined with STEM Models”; and “HerbGlow – Herbal Fragrance.”
Four Second Prizes were awarded to the following projects: “Vietnamese Heritage in the Digital Era – A Platform for Preserving and Developing Vietnamese Folk Literature”; “Healthy Snack To Go: Taste Sweetness – Receive Green Values”; and “EcoSmartTag – A Biological Milk Storage Bag Solution.”
The Final Round of the Student Startup Innovation Competition 2025–2026 at Hanoi Metropolitan University concluded in an exciting and inspiring atmosphere. Through the competition, the University continues to build a practical academic environment that encourages students to develop creative thinking, strengthen problem-solving skills, and enhance their ability to apply knowledge in real-life contexts. The projects presented at the competition not only reflected students’ enthusiasm and creativity but also contributed to shaping sustainable startup values oriented toward the community and society.
