The “Heartbeat 2025” Blood Donation Program: “Together beating – together living – together sharing.”

On the morning of November 25, Hanoi Metropolitan University, in coordination with the Capital Blood Team and the National Institute of Hematology and Blood Transfusion, organized the “Heartbeat 2025” blood donation program, aiming to spread the message “Together beating – together living – together sharing” within the HNMU community.

“Heartbeat” is an annual voluntary blood donation program jointly organized by the Capital Blood Team and the Student Association of Hanoi Metropolitan University in coordination with the National Institute of Hematology and Blood Transfusion. The program has entered its 9th year and has become a source of pride for HNMU students. With the message “Together beating – together living – together sharing,” the program continues to strongly spread the spirit of humanity and compassion within the community.

Attending the program, on behalf of the University, were Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Anh Tuan, Chairman of the University Council; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Do Hong Cuong, President of the University; Dr. Bui Quoc Hoan, Vice President of the University; representatives of the Standing Committee of the Executive Board of Blood Chapter 08/5; representatives of the Student Association of Hanoi Metropolitan University; the program’s Organizing Committee; leaders of units; staff, lecturers, and students of the University.

In recent years, the movement to promote and mobilize voluntary blood donation at Hanoi Metropolitan University has achieved many noteworthy results. Awareness among staff, officials, employees, and students of the humanitarian significance of blood donation has been increasingly enhanced; as a result, the University has consistently contributed valuable units of blood to serve emergency care and treatment for patients. The Party Committee and the University’s Board of Management have always shown concern, provided orientation, and created favorable conditions for the voluntary blood donation movement to develop strongly, alongside other charitable activities. Through this, the University not only contributes to supporting the community but also nurtures and spreads compassion, a sense of responsibility, and solidarity among staff, lecturers, and students—positive values that have become part of the culture of Hanoi Metropolitan University.

The event collected 386 units of blood with the support of doctors from the National Institute of Hematology and Blood Transfusion, along with staff from the University Health Station, Youth Union, Student Association, University Trade Union officials, and program volunteers. This is not merely a number, but also a testament to the power of compassion and the widespread spirit of volunteerism among HNMU students.

Over 9 years with the message “One drop of blood given – one life remains,” this meaningful journey continues to be extended through each act of sharing and every compassionate heartbeat of HNMU students. This is not only a journey of giving but also a vivid testament to the spirit of mutual support and love, to a culture of kindness that is strongly spreading throughout the community. These values will continue to be preserved and promoted, so that each blood donation season leaves behind a mark of kindness, a source of positive energy, and a sense of pride in the youth of Hanoi Metropolitan University.
