Hanoi Metropolitan University Reviews the 2025-2026 Academic Year and Identifies 9 Key Tasks for the New Academic Year

Speaking at the conference, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Do Hong Cuong – Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, President of Hanoi Metropolitan University, and Chair of the Conference acknowledged and praised the efforts, sense of responsibility, and dedication of all officials, employees, staff members, and learners throughout the 2025–2026 academic year. The President affirmed that the achievements gained were clear evidence of the solidarity, innovation, and determination of the University’s collective in implementing its development goals.

The annual review report showed that in the 2025–2026 academic year, Hanoi Metropolitan University successfully fulfilled its key tasks across various areas. In education and training, the University reviewed and adjusted 31 full-time undergraduate training programs, 3 distance-learning programs, 1 master’s program, and 1 doctoral program. Admission, training organization, internships, practical training, and graduation assessment were implemented according to the planned schedule while ensuring quality.

Scientific research, innovation, and international cooperation activities continued to develop, with 150 scientific articles published domestically and internationally; 46 initiatives recognized and implemented; and 2 copyright registrations completed. Numerous university-level and national-level scientific conferences were organized, creating academic forums for knowledge exchange and connections among researchers.
In addition, the University continued to achieve significant milestones in international cooperation and digital transformation. The joint training program in Chinese Language with Beijing Language and Culture University (China) was implemented, expanding international-standard learning opportunities for students. At the same time, the digital university governance system continued to be improved, while innovation and entrepreneurship activities were promoted, with 45 ideas participating in the university-level competition alongside support from business partners.
Delivering directives at the conference, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Do Hong Cuong emphasized that in the 2026–2027 academic year, the University will focus on implementing nine key tasks to improve training quality, enhance scientific research, innovate university governance, accelerate digital transformation, expand international cooperation, develop a high-quality workforce, and strengthen the University’s position within the higher education system.
The President affirmed that the strategic goal of Hanoi Metropolitan University is to become one of the leading prestigious universities by 2030, striving to enter the top 500 universities in Asia, while developing a modern, multidisciplinary university model with five member universities, meeting the demand for high-quality human resources for Hanoi Capital and the country. The review conference for the 2025–2026 academic year was not only an occasion to reflect on achieved results but also demonstrated the University’s determination for innovation, creativity, and sustainable development in the new period. With the foundation that has been established and the consensus of its staff, lecturers, employees, and learners, Hanoi Metropolitan University continues to pursue higher development goals, affirming its position as a key higher education institution of Hanoi Capital.
