Hanoi Metropolitan University Honored to Have Two Award-Winning Works at the 2025 Writing Contest “Culture of Law Compliance”

On the afternoon of December 23, 2025, at Hanoi Book Street, the Hanoi Department of Justice, in coordination with Kinh tế & Đô thị Newspaper, held the Award Ceremony for the 2025 Writing Contest “Culture of Law Compliance.” This meaningful activity aimed to promote the spirit of respect for the Constitution and the law, in practical response to Vietnam Law Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam.

According to the Organizing Committee, although the launch period was short (from November 6 to December 6, 2025), the contest attracted 3,848 entries from various sectors of society: officials, civil servants, public employees, teachers, pupils and students, armed forces personnel, freelance workers, the elderly, persons with disabilities, and even foreigners living, studying, and working in Hanoi. The oldest contestant was 92 years old, and the youngest was only 7 years old—figures that demonstrate the contest’s wide reach and profound humanistic value.

Many entries clearly reflected a deep awareness of the role of law in regulating social behavior and building a civilized and disciplined lifestyle, thereby contributing to strengthening public trust in the law and state institutions. The Jury highly appreciated works with strong analytical insight, linking theory with practice, especially those targeting youth, pupils, and students—groups that play a crucial role in forming a sustainable legal culture for the future.

M.A. Trần Thị Ngọc Dung from the Office of Academic Affairs and Student Services won Second Prize with the work “Building a Law-Abiding Lifestyle among Students.”

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyễn Anh Tuấn, Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of the University Council, won Third Prize with the work “Developing a Culture of Law Compliance at Hanoi Metropolitan University.”

4Notably, Hanoi Metropolitan University was honored to have two outstanding works awarded in this year’s contest. Specifically, M.A. Trần Thị Ngọc Dung won Second Prize with her work focusing on analyzing the role of the higher education environment in shaping students’ legal awareness, civic ethics, and responsible lifestyles, while proposing practical solutions to bring the law closer to learners through training activities, experiential programs, and student affairs. Meanwhile, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyễn Anh Tuấn received Third Prize for his work, which clarified the exemplary role of administrators and lecturers, the connection between university leadership and governance with the building of a disciplined, standardized, and law-respecting educational environment, thereby affirming the University’s sustainable development orientation associated with legal values and social responsibility.
