At the ceremony, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Do Hong Cuong, Rector of the University, extended his congratulations to the new graduates of Hanoi Metropolitan University for successfully completing their academic journey under the university’s roof. From this ceremony onward, the graduates will embark on a new chapter in their lives. Over the past years, the university’s faculty, staff, and workers have continually strived to innovate and fulfill their teaching responsibilities, supporting students in learning and scientific research. They have always shared and created the best possible conditions to ensure students can study, research, and train with peace of mind. Together, faculty, staff, and students have built a safe, modern, and civilized educational environment — an ecosystem of innovation and creativity that truly nurtures students' qualities and potentials.
According to Rector Do Hong Cuong, the 2021 cohort was very special, as students had to endure a long period affected by the Covid-19 pandemic. Teachers and students switched to online learning and had to proactively arrange their study and training schedules during social distancing. Despite numerous difficulties and challenges, the graduates present today have excelled in completing their studies. Out of 2,070 students enrolled in 2021, as of now, 785 have graduated ahead of schedule (accounting for 37.92%), including 13.25% graduating with Excellent distinction, 56.94% with Good, and 29.81% with Fair; there were no students classified as Average. These figures testify to the relentless efforts of both faculty and students.
Rector Do Hong Cuong also expressed hope that with the knowledge and skills acquired at the university, the graduates will continue to strive for daily and hourly self-learning to reach the bright future ahead. They will uphold and maintain the proud tradition of Hanoi Metropolitan University students, affirming the university’s reputation in both domestic and international labor markets. Each graduate will have their own path and choices. Wherever they go and whatever positions they hold, the university hopes and believes they will become excellent educators, officials, and workers who contribute positively to the community and society, fully utilizing their talents and passion to contribute to a better life and to the university with its core values: “Humanity – Innovation – Motivation – Identity.” The university’s doors will always remain open to alumni for visits, further studies, and meaningful contributions.
At the ceremony, on behalf of the university, Rector Do Hong Cuong sincerely thanked parents and students for trusting and choosing Hanoi Metropolitan University as their place to study and prepare for the future. The university will always watch over and take pride in its talented and passionate generation of students.
