“Golden History of 2025 – Reviving the Pulse of History”

Commemorating the 50th Anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification (April 30, 1975 – April 30, 2025) and the 139th International Workers’ Day (May 1, 1886 – May 1, 2025), the Youth Union – Student Association of Hanoi Metropolitan University organized the contest “Golden History 2025” with active, creative, and enthusiastic participation from the students of Hanoi Metropolitan University.
The theatrical performance and award ceremony on April 29 were attended by Meritorious Artist Cao Nguyet Hang – Lecturer at Hanoi College of Arts; Associate Professor Dr. Do Hong Cuong, Secretary of the Party Committee and Rector of the University; Associate Professor Dr. Nguyen Anh Tuan, Chairman of the University Council; Vice Rectors Bui Quoc Hoan and Nguyen Van Tuan, along with leaders of various departments.

The contest “Golden History 2025” consists of 4 exciting parts: Historical Knowledge, Infographic Design, Essay Writing, and finally, Theatrical Performance. The Essay Writing part provides students an opportunity to revisit the heroic milestones of the country’s unification struggle. Through 50 multiple-choice questions, participants reinforce their knowledge, deepen their historical understanding, and awaken their national pride. The Infographic Design section encourages creativity and visual thinking as students represent historical milestones with vivid images. This part demonstrates the art of “storytelling” using modern, engaging, and inspiring visual language. The Essay Writing section serves as a forum to showcase students’ political maturity, critical thinking, and social responsibility. Through their essays, competing teams affirm a firm ideological stance and faith in Vietnam’s revolutionary path. Finally, the Theatrical Performance titled “Pride of Vietnam’s History” centers on the historic victory of April 30 and the revolutionary marks of the Vietnamese nation. This part delivers emotional performances that vividly reenact historical events and figures. It epitomizes collective spirit, artistic creativity, and deep love for the nation’s history. Throughout the competition, teams have demonstrated meticulous preparation, seriousness, and creativity in each part, contributing to an energetic and inspiring academic playground.
The final results of the “Golden History 2025” competition are: First Prize – Team Steel Heart (Faculty of Education and Physical Education-National Defense & Security); Second Prize – Team National Flame (Faculty of Economics & Tourism) and Team Minh Vuong History (Faculty of Social Sciences & Humanities and Center for Foreign Language Training & Capacity Development); Third Prize – Team Red Dawn (Faculty of Foreign Languages), Team Green Footprint (Hanoi Studies Institute & International Training and Faculty of Urban Management), and Team Vietnamese Spirit (Faculty of Mathematics - IT and Faculty of Engineering – Environment).







“Golden History 2025” is not only an activity to celebrate major holidays but also a journey to honor history, awaken national pride, civic responsibility, and noble ideals in every student of Hanoi Metropolitan University. The “Golden History 2025” competition concluded with deep emotions and lasting impressions, spreading a love for history, tradition, and the aspiration to build the country among all students of Hanoi Metropolitan University.
