The First Student Scientific Research Conference 2026

On the morning of April 21, 2026, Hanoi Metropolitan University organized the First Student Scientific Research Conference 2026, aiming to create an academic forum for students to present their research findings, exchange scientific ideas, and promote a research spirit within the student community.

The conference was attended by Dr. Trần Anh Tuấn, Secretary of the Party Committee and Vice Rector of the University, along with leaders of various departments, supervising lecturers, and a large number of students engaged in scientific research at Hanoi Metropolitan University.

Dr. Trần Anh Tuấn, Secretary of the Party Committee and Vice Rector of the University, delivered the opening remarks at the conference.

In his opening speech, Dr. Trần Anh Tuấn emphasized the role of scientific research in the university environment, affirming that it is an important activity that helps students develop creative thinking and enhance research capacity, contributing to the formation of a young generation of intellectuals who are dynamic, resilient, and globally integrated.

MSc. Hà Thu Thủy, Secretary of the Youth Union and Deputy Head of the Department of Training Management and Student Affairs, presented a report titled “Scientific Research in the Context of Digital Transformation – Several Issues Facing Students of Hanoi Metropolitan University.”

Within the framework of the conference, MSc. Hà Thu Thủy, Secretary of the Youth Union and Deputy Head of the Department of Training Management and Student Affairs, delivered the keynote report titled “Scientific Research in the Context of Digital Transformation – Several Issues Facing Students of Hanoi Metropolitan University,” thereby clarifying the role of scientific research in the process of digital transformation and in the development of students’ knowledge.

The presentations not only demonstrated seriousness and creativity in student research, but also opened up new approaches, linking academic research with real-life practice and technological development.

The conference featured six outstanding student research papers from various fields, including business, tourism, logistics, marketing, mathematics, information technology, and foreign languages. The studies focused on practical issues and emerging trends, such as: research on Gen Z consumer behavior toward fast fashion; evaluation of import–export freight forwarding efficiency by sea transport; application of Deepfake technology in marketing; modeling population growth using differential equations; research on the use of the Duolingo application in English vocabulary learning; and methods of processing Vietnamese legal documents for intelligent question-answering systems.

The presentations not only demonstrated the seriousness and creativity of student research but also opened up new approaches, linking academic research with real-life practice and technological development.

The discussion session took place actively and vibrantly, with many opinions and questions raised by students. They showed particular interest in topics related to new technologies and modern learning trends, notably research on the use of the Duolingo application in English learning, Deepfake technology in marketing, as well as studies related to artificial intelligence (AI).

Responding to students’ interest, Dr. Trần Anh Tuấn, Vice Rector of the University, further shared orientations for research development in the context of digital transformation. He emphasized that in the process of research and technology application, intellectual property issues must be given special attention in order to protect intellectual products and encourage academic creativity. Dr. Trần Anh Tuấn also highlighted the importance of developing domestic AI systems and domain-specific AI systems tailored to Vietnam’s practical needs. This is also an important approach reflected in several student research presentations at the conference.

Through the conference, Hanoi Metropolitan University expects that the student scientific research movement will continue to develop strongly, becoming a regular academic activity, creating an environment for students to practice research capacity, critical thinking, and the ability to apply knowledge into practice. This also serves as an important foundation for forming a generation of dynamic and creative students who are ready to contribute scientific ideas and innovative solutions to social development in the context of digital transformation and international integration.
