The Final Round of the 2025 Student Scientific Research Awards

On the afternoon of June 20, 2025, Hanoi Metropolitan University organized the Final Round of the University-level Student Scientific Research Awards for the 2024–2025 academic year, gathering the most outstanding research projects from various Faculties.

The event was attended by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyễn Anh Tuấn – Party Committee Secretary and Chairman of the University Council; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Vũ Thanh – Former Deputy Director of the Institute of Literature, Vietnam Academy of Social Sciences; Dr. Đinh Thị Kim Thương – Deputy Head of the Department of Science and Technology Management and Development Cooperation; M.A. Hà Thu Thủy – Secretary of the University Youth Union, along with members of the expert council, faculty advisors, and a large number of students interested in scientific research.

The competition is one of the key activities of the academic year, aiming to promote the student scientific research movement, ignite independent thinking, foster creativity, and enhance academic competence among students. All projects in the final round demonstrated a strong sense of relevance, scientific rigor, and potential for practical application.

Two outstanding projects were awarded First Prize, including:

The project titled “A Scientific Research Model Based on Bibliometric Analysis of Data from Scopus and Web of Science Using CiteSpace and VOSviewer: Theory and Practice”, conducted by the student group: Đỗ Diệp Anh, Đặng Bùi Khánh Linh, Phạm Thị Châu Giang, and Phùng Phương Dung under the supervision of Dr. Nguyễn Tiến Đà – Faculty of Education.
The project titled “Enhancing Early Prediction Accuracy of Student Graduation Classification Using Transformer”, carried out by students Nguyễn Hồng Hoa and Hoàng Thị Thu Trang under the guidance of Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyễn Thị Kim Sơn – Hanoi University of Industry.

“Applying Artificial Intelligence (AI) Tools in Designing Educational Materials for Safety Skills Education for Primary School Students” by the student group Nghiêm Xuân Vân Anh, Vũ Hoàng Minh Anh, Nguyễn Bảo Yến Nhi, Nguyễn Thùy Trang, under the guidance of Dr. Ngô Thị Kim Hoàn – Faculty of Education.
“Designing and Using Virtual Museums in Teaching History for Grade 6 – Secondary School Level” by the student group Nguyễn Phương Ngân, Vũ Nguyệt Anh, Lê Hương Ly, under the guidance of M.A. Nguyễn Thị Thanh Thúy – Faculty of Education.
“The Reception of Queer Literature – A Case Study of the Readings of On Earth We're Briefly Gorgeous (Ocean Vuong) and Call Me by Your Name (André Aciman)” by the student group Vũ Thị Quỳnh Phương, Trần Minh Trang, under the guidance of Dr. Lương Hải Vân – Faculty of Education.
“The Impact of Fear of Missing Out (FoMO) on Impulsive Buying Behavior in Online Shopping Among Students of Hanoi Metropolitan University” by the student group Lê Gia Linh, Đỗ Thị Vân Anh, Diêm Thị Thanh Lâm, Trần Diệu Linh, under the guidance of M.A. Nguyễn Thị Kim Ngân – Faculty of Management and Urban Studies.

In his concluding remarks, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyễn Anh Tuấn – Chair of the Evaluation Council – highly appreciated the quality of this year’s research projects. He also emphasized the crucial role of scientific research in fostering the comprehensive development of students to meet the demands of higher education reform. The competition not only serves as a valuable academic platform for students but also stands as a testament to the serious spirit of learning, creative thinking, and the aspiration to contribute to knowledge of the young generation at Hanoi Metropolitan University.
