The educational cooperation program between HNMU and Vientiane - Hanoi Friendship Technical - Vocational College

Prof. Dang Van Soa spoke at the meeting

On April 6 2016, Hanoi Metropolitan University (HNMU) had a meeting with Vientiane – Hanoi Friendship Technical – Vocational College (VHFVC) in Hanoi.

The event had the participation of Prof. Dang Van Soa, Vice-Rector of HNMU; Dr. Pham Ngoc Son, Head of Science – Technology and Cooperation Development Department; Assoc. Prof Vu Cong Hao, Director of Science and Technology Center; Dr. Nguyen Van Tuan, Director of Research and Professional Development Center; and representatives of Faculty of Natural Sciences and Faculty of Information Technology.

On the side of the VHFVC were the attendance of Mr. Duangta Sulivong, Director of  Vientiane Foreign Affairs Department; Mr. Outhai Bannavong, Rector of VHFVC; and Mr. Sengaloun Thammavongsa, Head of Academic Affairs Department.

Speaking at the meeting, Mr. Outhai Bannavong introduced history and scale of training of VHFVC. Accordingly, the College was founded in 2004 focusing on training in the fields of Information Technology, Electronics, and Business Administration. In addition, the College also had a Vietnamese Language Center. In 2015-2016, the College had 1928 students and expected to welcome 2500 students by 2019-2020.

Prof. Dang Van Soa, Vice-Rector of HNMU said HNMU will cooperate with VHFVC in the field of training Information Technology and Vietnamese for foreigners in the coming time.

Director of Vientiane Foreign Affairs Department Mr. Duangta Sulivong pledged to facilitate best conditions for educational cooperation between the two schools and expressed his great honor to visit and work with Hanoi Metropolitan University.

At the meeting, the both sides also discussed on the cooperative opportunities in the future.

As expected, in June 2016, HNMU will visit VHFVC.
