The Dialogue Conference between the University Board of Rectors and Students of Hanoi Metropolitan University for the 2025–2026 academic year.

In order to promptly understand students’ thoughts and aspirations, Hanoi Metropolitan University organized the Dialogue Conference between the University Board of Rectors and students for the 2025–2026 academic year. The conference served as a direct and open forum for exchange between the University leadership and students, contributing to the improvement of training quality, enhancement of the learning environment, and strengthening of the University’s support and companionship with learners.

Overview of the Conference

On the morning of January 13, 2026, Hanoi Metropolitan University held the Dialogue Conference between the University Board of Rectors and students for the 2025–2026 academic year. This annual event plays an important role in improving training quality and building a friendly, modern, learner-centered educational environment.

The conference was attended by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Đỗ Hồng Cường, President of the University; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyễn Văn Tuân, Vice President; Dr. Trần Quốc Hoàn, Vice President; leaders of functional departments; representatives of faculties and training units; representatives of the Youth Union and Student Association; and a large number of student representatives from different cohorts and classes across the University. The event took place in a democratic, open, candid, and constructive atmosphere.

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Đỗ Hồng Cường, President of Hanoi Metropolitan University, delivered a speech at the conference.

In his speech, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Đỗ Hồng Cường emphasized that organizing direct dialogue with students is not only a responsibility but also an important communication channel for the University to listen to and absorb students’ feedback. This enables timely adjustments and improvements in management, training, and student services. The University leadership reaffirmed that students are at the center of all educational and training activities and committed to supporting them throughout their academic journey.

Student representatives from various faculties and majors raised questions at the conference.

TDuring the conference, students confidently raised various questions, opinions, and recommendations directly related to their rights, responsibilities, and learning environment. The discussions focused on practical issues such as: Training quality, curriculum, teaching and assessment methods Course registration, examinations, and evaluation Tuition fees, scholarships, and student support policies Facilities, library services, and online learning systems Scientific research activities, internships, career orientation, and employment opportunities after graduation.

Representatives of the departments, faculties, and institutes addressed and responded to students’ questions.

Representatives from relevant departments and faculties provided clear, specific, and focused responses. For matters requiring further review, the University recorded and assigned them to appropriate units for research and solution proposals in the near future.

At the closing of the conference, the University Board of Rectors highly appreciated the students’ responsibility, frankness, and constructive spirit. The leadership requested relevant units to seriously absorb feedback and implement solutions to gradually enhance training quality and improve students’ learning and living conditions. The University also encouraged students to continue demonstrating initiative and active engagement, working together to further develop Hanoi Metropolitan University into a reputable and high-quality higher education institution. The Dialogue Conference for the 2025–2026 academic year concluded successfully, serving as an effective two-way communication forum that strengthened students’ trust in the University and contributed to building a democratic, modern, and sustainable educational environment.
