The Bejing – Asian culure journey comes to HNMU
As part of a series of activities on celebrating the 50th Anniversary of ASEAN, promoting China-ASEAN tourism cooperation year and boosting friendship between the people of Vietnam and China, the exchange program on “Beijing – ASEAN culture journey” took place at Hanoi Metropolitan University Ha Noi on February 14, 2017.
The exchange program attracted the participation of representatives coming from the Chinese Embassy in Vietnam Mr. Banh The Doan; the Chinese People’s Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries (CPAFFC) Ms. Vu Chau; The Hanoi Union Of Friendship Organizations (HAUFO) Dr. Can Viet Anh; Vice-Rector of HNMU Prof. Dang Van Soa; art troupe of Beijing; and lectures and students of HNMU.
It featured musical instrument performances, a photo exhibition on Beijing, and a show on intangible cultural heritage handicraft products.
Vu Chau, Head of the Chinese delegation to the event, said the exchange helps increase mutual understanding and cooperation between Beijing and Ha Noi in the fields of culture and tourism.
Speaking at the program, Prof. Dang Van Soa emphasized that the Bejing – Asian culture journey was an interesting and expecting event. The students, staffs and lecturers of HNMU were always aware of the preservation and development of traditional friendship between Vietnam and China, he said. He also hoped that there will be more activities to enhance friendship between people of the two countries, especially between Bejing and Hanoi.
The Bejing – Asian culture journey was first held in Beijing in 2014. It has been successfully organised in Laos, Cambodia, Malaysia, Singapore, Brunei, Indonesia and Thailand over the past three years and received warm applause from local people.
