The 43rd Anniversary of Vietnamese Teachers’ Day (November 20)

Hanoi Metropolitan University solemnly held a ceremony to commemorate Vietnamese Teachers’ Day—an occasion to honor the noble contributions of generations of teachers, staff members, lecturers, and university employees over more than 65 years of establishment and development.

Attending the ceremony were Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyễn Anh Tuấn, Chairman of the University Council; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Đỗ Hồng Cường, President of Hanoi Metropolitan University; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyễn Văn Tuân, Vice President; Dr. Bùi Quốc Hoàn, Vice President; leaders of units, along with all staff members and lecturers of the University.

In his address, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Đỗ Hồng Cường expressed his deep gratitude to generations of educators from Hanoi College of Education and Ha Tay College of Education in the past, and now Hanoi Metropolitan University. He emphasized that the valuable traditions formed over more than 65 years of development are a crucial foundation enabling the University to continuously innovate and affirm its position within Vietnam’s higher education system. The President also affirmed that the University is vigorously pursuing reforms toward developing learners’ qualities and competencies, aligning training with practical needs, and promoting the strengths of practice- and internship-oriented models. Over the past academic year, the University achieved many notable results in training, quality accreditation, science and technology, and international cooperation, thereby enhancing the reputation and influence of Hanoi Metropolitan University.

On this occasion, the University also honored and rewarded collectives and individuals with outstanding achievements in the past academic year. This recognition is a well-deserved acknowledgment of the relentless efforts of staff and lecturers who have contributed to improving training quality and spreading the spirit of responsibility, dedication, and professional passion. The achievements of the past academic year and the comprehensive spirit of innovation being implemented serve as an important foundation for HNMU to continue its strong development, toward the goal of becoming a reputable, modern, and humanistic higher education institution of the Capital. With a tradition spanning more than 65 years, the dedication of its teaching staff, and the continuous efforts of officials, employees, and students, Hanoi Metropolitan University is confident in continuing to achieve new successes and making positive contributions to the cause of education and training of the City and the nation.
