The 10th Congress of the Delegates of the Vietnam Students’ Association at Hanoi Metropolitan University, Term 2025–2028.

Overview of the Congress.
On the morning of January 6, 2026, the 10th Congress of Delegates of the Vietnam Students’ Association at Hanoi Metropolitan University for the 2025–2028 term was successfully held, marking an important milestone in the Association’s work and student movement of the University.

Attending the Congress, on behalf of the Vietnam Students’ Association of Hanoi were Ms. Nguyễn Phương Thảo – Member of the Executive Committee of the Hanoi Youth Union and Deputy Head of the Youth and Adolescent Affairs Committee under the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Hanoi; and Mr. Phạm Quang Việt Hoàng – Member of the Central Executive Committee of the Vietnam Students’ Association and Vice President of the Vietnam Students’ Association of Hanoi. Representing Hanoi Metropolitan University were Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyễn Anh Tuấn – Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of the University Council; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyễn Văn Tuân – Vice Rector; Dr. Trần Thị Hà Giang – Standing Member of the Party Committee in charge of youth affairs, Secretary of the Party Cell, and Dean of the Faculty of Education; leaders of affiliated units; representatives of the Youth Union and Students’ Association across different terms; along with numerous Association officials and outstanding student members.

Ms. Trương Thị Minh Huyền, President of the 10th-term Vietnam Students’ Association at Hanoi Metropolitan University, presented the report reviewing the Association’s work and student movement for the 2023–2025 term.
According to the approved agenda, the Congress implemented its key contents through two working sessions conducted in a spirit of democracy, responsibility, and high consensus. In the first session, Ms. Trương Thị Minh Huyền – President of the Students’ Association for the 10th term – presented the report reviewing the Association’s work and student movement for the 2023–2025 term, comprehensively evaluating achievements, limitations, and lessons learned. The Congress then elected the Executive Committee of the Vietnam Students’ Association at Hanoi Metropolitan University for the 10th term, consisting of exemplary, capable, and dedicated Association officials. During the formal session, delegates discussed and adopted the directions, objectives, and key tasks for the 2025–2028 term, focusing on renewing the content and methods of Association activities; promoting the “Five-Good Student” movement; improving the quality of support for students in study, scientific research, entrepreneurship, and international integration; and affirming the determination to build a strong Association that effectively accompanies students in the new period.

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyễn Văn Tuân, Vice Rector of Hanoi Metropolitan University, acknowledged and commended the achievements of the Executive Committee.
In his remarks at the Congress, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyễn Văn Tuân, Vice Rector of the University, emphasized that the Vietnam Students’ Association is an important socio-political organization of students, serving as a bridge between students and the Party, the State, and the University, as well as an environment for educating and training students to become both ethically grounded and professionally competent, with knowledge, courage, ideals, and social responsibility. The University leadership acknowledged and commended the outstanding achievements of the 9th-term Executive Committee (2023–2025), highlighting effective movements such as “Study and Self-Improvement for Future Career,” the “Five-Good Student” campaign, volunteer activities, and scientific research initiatives, all of which contributed positively to the development of the University, the Capital, and the country. For the new term, the Party Committee and Board of Rectors requested the Students’ Association to continue promoting its role as a reliable companion of students; strengthen education on ideals, ethics, lifestyle, and the cultural identity of students of the Capital; enhance emulation movements; provide comprehensive support for student development; and build a strong Association with innovative and attractive activities. Special emphasis was placed on digital transformation, innovation, and improving the quality of the “Five-Good Student” movement and programs supporting students in career development and entrepreneurship. The University leadership also expressed confidence that the 10th-term Executive Committee would uphold tradition and successfully accomplish the goals set by the Congress, contributing to building Hanoi Metropolitan University into a reputable, high-quality, application-oriented higher education institution. The 10th Congress of Delegates of the Vietnam Students’ Association at Hanoi Metropolitan University marks an important milestone, affirming the role and position of the Students’ Association within the University, while reflecting the trust and expectations of the Party Committee, the Board of Rectors, and generations of students for the new term. With the spirit of “Unity – Courage – Creativity – Development,” the 10th-term Students’ Association is determined to uphold tradition, continuously innovate, and contribute to building a dynamic, intellectual, and responsible generation of students of the Capital, meeting the development requirements of the University, Hanoi, and the country in the new era.
