The expert delegation from the ASEAN University Network (AUN) worked at Hanoi Metropolitan University.

Specifically, the two undergraduate programs assessed were Primary Education and English Language. Both programs successfully met the quality assurance standards of the ASEAN University Network (AUN-QA), with accreditation valid until November 8, 2030.

This result demonstrates that both programs have been comprehensively reviewed and benchmarked against regional standards in terms of training objectives, learning outcomes, teaching and learning activities, assessment methods, and student support services. It also reflects the University’s strategic roadmap toward standardization and continuous quality enhancement.

According to Assoc. Prof. Dr. Đỗ Hồng Cường, President of Hanoi Metropolitan University, accreditation serves not only as an evaluation mechanism but also as an important process for strengthening academic governance systems, standardizing evidence, and promoting continuous improvement. At the same time, the accreditation outcome enhances transparency and increases public trust in the quality of the University’s graduates.

Alongside accreditation activities, the University has also prioritized staff development. By the end of 2025, more than 100 administrators and lecturers had participated in professional accreditation training courses; approximately 200 staff members had been trained in learning outcomes assessment; and 32 faculty members had completed specialized training in writing self-assessment reports for AUN-QA program accreditation.

Building on these achievements, Hanoi Metropolitan University aims to expand its accreditation efforts in the coming years. According to its strategic plan, by 2026 the University will complete self-assessment reports for seven additional academic programs, with external AUN-QA assessment targeted for 2027. These programs include Educational Management, Chinese Language, Early Childhood Education, Civic Education, Vietnamese Studies, Business Administration, and Information Technology.

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Đỗ Hồng Cường emphasized that the accreditation process will continue to follow AUN-QA procedures and standards strictly, ensuring accuracy, completeness of data and evidence, and clear accountability across all units involved.

During the 2026–2030 period, Hanoi Metropolitan University plans to complete AUN-QA accreditation for 14 academic programs. This roadmap will be supported by ongoing investments in facilities, expanded stakeholder surveys, strengthened benchmarking activities, and continued faculty and staff development.
