Reception and Working Session with Guangxi Polytechnic Normal University (China)

On the afternoon of April 25, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyễn Văn Tuân, Vice Rector of Hanoi Metropolitan University, hosted and held a working session with the delegation from Guangxi Polytechnic Normal University (China), led by Mr. Du Shaohong, Vice Rector of the university.

At the working session, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyễn Văn Tuân, Vice Rector of Hanoi Metropolitan University, provided an overview of the university’s key development milestones and recalled the areas of collaboration previously established between the two institutions. He emphasized the importance of building and maintaining a strong and close-knit relationship between the two universities, considering it a foundation for developing a sustainable and effective partnership. 

Mr. Du Shaohong, Vice Rector of Guangxi Polytechnic Normal University (China), shared information about his institution during the meeting.

          Sharing his perspective at the meeting, Mr. Du Shaohong, Vice Rector of Guangxi Polytechnic Normal University (China), noted that both institutions have followed similar development paths, having evolved from teacher training colleges into multi-disciplinary universities. Currently, his university has over 1,000 faculty and staff members and more than 17,000 enrolled students.

Mr. Du acknowledged the impressive progress made by Hanoi Metropolitan University, especially in its expansion beyond undergraduate programs to include master’s and doctoral training. He expressed his university’s desire to continue fostering cooperation and strengthening its partnership with Hanoi Metropolitan University in the coming time.

Following discussions, the two sides agreed on several areas of collaboration, including:

  • Faculty, staff, and student exchange and training;

  • Joint participation in scientific research activities (such as organizing conferences and innovation/startup competitions);

  • Cultural exchange programs such as summer camps and cultural immersion experiences;

  • Mutual support in media, promotion, and enhancing the reputation and visibility of both institutions.

The working session opened up a new direction for development between the two universities, bringing numerous opportunities for learning and cultural exchange for students, faculty, and staff
