Literature Education

The undergraduate Literature Education program provides in-depth training in Language, Literature, and Teaching Methodology of Literature, equipping graduates with a solid foundation for various career paths. Graduates can work as Literature teachers at upper secondary schools, lower secondary schools, continuing education centers, vocational and professional secondary schools. They can also pursue careers in language research, literary studies, creative writing, journalism, editing, cultural management, or propaganda work.

Graduates of the Literature Education program are also qualified to continue their academic journey at the Master’s and Doctoral levels in fields such as Language, Literature, Literary Theory, and Teaching Methodology of Literature. Additionally, Literature Education students may transition into related disciplines such as Vietnamese Studies, Hanoi Studies, Political Science, Journalism and Communication, among others.

Graduates are also well-prepared to pursue further studies at the Master’s and Doctoral levels in fields such as Language, Literature, Literary Theory, and Teaching Methodology of Literature. Literature students may also shift their careers to related areas such as Vietnamese Studies, Hanoi Studies, Political Science, Journalism and Communication, among others.

The Literature Education faculty consists of passionate lecturers with many years of experience, strong research ability, teaching expertise, and artistic talent, who accompany students throughout their learning journey. Among them are Associate Professors and Doctors who studied both domestically and abroad, and who participate in writing and evaluating textbooks.

  1. Curriculum

The program is designed with an application-oriented approach (POHE). Its core emphasizes general knowledge, fostering independent thinking, critical thinking, and laying the foundation for lifelong learning. With such a vision, the program equips students with foundational knowledge, core scientific knowledge, and methodological expertise to develop independent thinking, critical analysis, and self-study skills.

The curriculum is also aligned with the reforms of the general education program. With the credit-based training system, students can accelerate their studies, improve grades, pursue two programs simultaneously, and graduate early, giving them a strong competitive advantage after graduation.
