Political Science is a discipline that studies political theory and practice, describing and analyzing systems, institutions, and political behavior. Students majoring in Political Science will master the worldview and methodology of Marxism-Leninism, Ho Chi Minh’s thought, and the guidelines of the Communist Party of Vietnam, with the qualifications and capabilities to work within Vietnam’s political system.
Upon graduation, students will have acquired the following knowledge and skills:
Skills: Proficient in communication, management, and leadership within political system agencies, with advisory capacity in Party and State agencies from central to local levels. Students will be trained in sharp, independent, and creative political thinking, presentation and commentary skills, with solid political bravery, professional ethics, and good citizenship. They will be able to analyze and evaluate political situations and quickly adapt to changes in the political-social environment and factors related to political and social dynamics both domestically and globally.
Professional Knowledge and Career Skills: The Political Science program provides students with general knowledge and foundational understanding in the social sciences and humanities, especially in areas closely related to Political Science. Throughout the program, students develop the ability to apply theory, methods, and professional skills to real-world activities. Students gain comprehensive knowledge, particularly in political science: History of Political Thought, Political Power, Political Institutions, International Political Relations, Political Sociology, Political Crisis Management Methods, Leadership and Management Skills, etc.
