1. Overview of the Faculty of Education
The Faculty of Education is one of the key units of Hanoi Metropolitan University (Trường đại học thủ đô Hà Nội), established in September 2019 as part of the University’s comprehensive restructuring toward a modern, flexible, and integrated university model. With the mission to train teachers who meet professional standards, possess innovative thinking, and can adapt effectively in the context of current educational reform, the Faculty of Education continues to grow, affirming its role as a prestigious teacher training center in both the capital and nationwide.
Currently, the Faculty manages 8 undergraduate teacher training programs, 1 master’s program, serving over 2,500 full-time students and learners, supported by a team of 77 academic staff, including:

Undergraduate programs include:
Early Childhood Education, Primary Education, Civic Education, Mathematics Education, Literature Education, Physics Education, History Education, Special Education
Master’s program:
Master in Early Mathematics Methods, designed to meet the professional development needs of teachers and teaching staff at schools.
2. Mission – Vision – Goals
Mission: Train and develop educators with strong professional ethics, high expertise, excellent pedagogical skills, the ability to inspire, and the capacity to accompany students in holistic development.
Vision: Become a high-quality teacher training institution with a career-oriented application focus, leading educational innovation, and contributing positively to the sustainable development of Hanoi and the country in the era of international integration.
Goals: Graduates meet teacher professional standards as prescribed by the Ministry of Education and Training, are capable of working in public and private educational institutions, and can continue studying, researching, and developing careers in education.
3. Quality Policy and Training Activities
Learner-centered, the Faculty of Education emphasizes career-oriented training programs that link theory with practice, strengthening pedagogical skills and professional competencies from the first semesters.
Students participate in activities such as:
Regular pedagogical skill training
Practicum at kindergartens, primary, secondary schools, and other educational institutions
Completing graduation theses, scientific research, and applied innovative startup projects
Joining academic clubs, professional seminars, and specialized competitions
Participating in activities organized by student unions and associations
These activities not only cultivate pedagogical skills but also develop critical thinking, research capability, entrepreneurial skills, creativity, and professional autonomy.
4. Scientific Activities and Training Cooperation
The Faculty prioritizes research, curriculum development, teaching materials, textbooks, and reference books. It actively participates in transferring teaching methods and new learning materials to local educational institutions.
Organizing and attending scientific workshops at University, national, and international levels
Signing Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) with kindergartens, schools, and educational organizations to enhance training links and provide practical experience for students
Coordinating professional development courses for teachers in Hanoi and other provinces
To date, the Faculty has trained approximately 3,000 graduates, including over 600 part-time students, significantly contributing to the supply of high-quality human resources for the education sector.
