History Education

Graduates of the History Education program are equipped with the ability to synthesize and analyze historical issues and apply them in teaching history at general education schools. They are also qualified to teach the History of the Communist Party of Vietnam at colleges and universities, as well as to work as historical researchers at institutes, research centers, museums, and propaganda departments at both central and local levels.
  • The History Education program trains students to become teachers with extensive knowledge of history and educational sciences, strong pedagogical competence, and research capacity to meet professional standards, contributing to the ongoing reform of education and training. Graduates are also capable of pursuing higher education and engaging in lifelong learning to improve and enhance their professional qualifications and expertise.

Career Opportunities

  • History teacher at lower and upper secondary schools

Academic Opportunities

  • In addition to the Bachelor’s program in History Education, students may also pursue a second degree (dual major) in Literature Education, English, Civic Education, Primary Education, or Early Childhood Education.

  • Graduates with a Bachelor’s degree in History Education can continue advanced studies and research at the Master’s or Doctoral level in various majors such as Vietnamese History, World History, Theory and Methods of Teaching History, etc.

  • They may also transition into related fields such as Archaeology, Sociology, Anthropology, Vietnamese Studies, Political Science, Law, Journalism, and Cultural Management.
