Hanoi Metropolitan University Students Make Their Mark at the 2026 National Mathematical Olympiad
This year’s competition brought together 90 delegations with 661 contestants and 771 exam entries, creating a large-scale academic arena for university and high school students passionate about mathematics nationwide. The award ceremony was held at Quy Nhon University, attracting significant attention from lecturers, students, and researchers in the field of mathematics.
Amid this highly competitive environment, Hanoi Metropolitan University’s student team demonstrated resilience, intelligence, and persistent dedication, earning multiple proud achievements in both Algebra and Calculus.

At this year’s competition, Hanoi Metropolitan University students won 1 Gold Medal, 1 Silver Medal, and 3 Bronze Medals. Specifically, student Pham Thi Thanh Ngan (Applied Mathematics Class D2024) achieved a Gold Medal in Algebra and a Bronze Medal in Calculus; student Phung The Thien (Mathematics Education Class D2024) won a Silver Medal in Calculus; student Tran Vu Hien Linh (Mathematics Education Class D2024) earned a Bronze Medal in Algebra; and student Phan Thanh Dat (Mathematics Education Class D2025) also secured a Bronze Medal in Algebra at the 32nd National Mathematical Olympiad.
