Hanoi Metropolitan University Allocates Over VND 68 Billion in Student Support Policies – hanoimoi.vn

According to information from Hanoi Metropolitan University, in accordance with Government Decree No. 116/2020/NĐ-CP dated September 25, 2020—regulating policies on tuition and living expense support for pedagogy students—the university has recently disbursed over VND 68 billion to 988 eligible pedagogy students as stipulated.

These are students who have completed all required procedures, submitted applications to receive the support, signed a commitment to reimburse tuition and living expenses if necessary, and have been officially approved by the university as eligible pedagogy students entitled to tuition and living cost support under the policy to train teachers in response to societal needs.

According to Government Decree No. 116/2020/NĐ-CP dated September 25, 2020, starting from 2021, students enrolled in teacher training programs are entitled to 100% tuition support and a monthly living allowance of VND 3.63 million. This funding is provided from the budgets of local authorities, ministries, and agencies through service procurement contracts with universities.

On June 16, 2022, the Hanoi People’s Committee issued Decision No. 2045/QĐ-UBND, launching a plan to implement Decree 116/2020/NĐ-CP.

Based on relevant regulations and guidelines, on December 28, 2023, Hanoi Metropolitan University officially disbursed this financial support to pedagogy students from the 2021 and 2022 admission cohorts.

As of now, Hanoi Metropolitan University is among the few higher education institutions nationwide to have completed the payment of living expenses for pedagogy students from these two cohorts. This demonstrates the city of Hanoi’s strong commitment to supporting pedagogy students and affirms the university's reputation, timely encouraging future teachers to continue their studies and pursue the teaching profession.
