Conference on Training and Guiding Students in the Use of Online Public Services and Digital Transformation

Overview of the Conference
On the morning of May 27, Hanoi Metropolitan University, in collaboration with the Hanoi Public Administrative Service Center, organized the “Training Conference on Guiding Students in the Practice of Online Public Services and Digital Transformation.”
In implementation of Plan No. 36/KH-TTPVHCC dated May 20, 2026, issued by the Hanoi Public Administrative Service Center regarding guidance for Hanoi Metropolitan University students in practicing online public services and digital transformation, the University coordinated the organization of a training conference for students on May 27. The program featured a variety of practical topics closely aligned with current digital transformation requirements.

Attending the event on behalf of the Hanoi Public Administrative Service Center were Mr. Phan Van Phuc, Director of the Center; Ms. Truong Thi Dieu Thuy, Director of the Customer Support and Care Center; along with leaders of affiliated departments and units.
Representing Hanoi Metropolitan University were Dr. Tran Anh Tuan, Secretary of the Party Committee and Vice President of the University; Dr. Dinh Thi Kim Thuong, Head of the Office of Science and Technology Management and Development Cooperation; together with numerous lecturers and more than 300 students.
In the context of the national digital transformation agenda being strongly promoted, mastering the skills required to perform administrative procedures through online public service platforms has become increasingly important for every citizen, especially the younger generation. Proficiency in using online public services not only helps save time and costs while enhancing transparency and efficiency in administrative procedures, but also contributes to the formation of a digital citizenship mindset that is adaptable to the development trends of modern society. For students, these skills are not only useful for academic and daily life purposes but also constitute an important foundation for proactive integration, community support, and active participation in the process of building digital government and a digital society in the future.

In his opening speech, Dr. Tran Anh Tuan emphasized the importance of equipping students with digital skills in the context of rapid digital transformation across all sectors. He also affirmed that access to and proficiency in online public services not only help students strengthen their digital citizenship competencies but also contribute to spreading the spirit of digital transformation throughout the community.

At the conference, Mr. Phan Van Phuc highly appreciated the University’s cooperation in promoting awareness and practical skills related to online public services among students. He expressed his expectation that students would become “extended arms” supporting citizens in effectively accessing digital platforms and online administrative procedures.
Within the framework of the conference, speakers from the Hanoi Public Administrative Service Center delivered several practical topics, including: an overview of online public services; the role of youth in supporting administrative procedures; guidance on using the public service system and online application submission processes; and skills for assisting citizens in utilizing online public services.

A highlight of the conference was the installation of eight personal computers directly in the conference hall by the Hanoi Public Administrative Service Center, enabling students to participate in hands-on practice sessions. Through these practical activities, students directly experienced the process of submitting applications online, using the public service system, and handling potential situations under the dedicated guidance of specialists and trainers throughout the digital transformation process.
The training conference was a meaningful activity that contributed to enhancing digital awareness and digital skills among Hanoi Metropolitan University students. At the same time, it demonstrated the close cooperation between the University and the Hanoi Public Administrative Service Center in promoting digital transformation and developing a dynamic young workforce capable of adapting to the requirements of today’s digital society.
