Conclusion of AFCE 2025 Conference

Distinguished delegates, respected scholars, and dear students,

After a period of serious and dedicated work, the 2nd International Scientific Conference of the Autumn Education Forum with the theme “Developing Culture and Creative Education in the Digital Era” has successfully completed its planned agenda. With 222 papers carefully and rigorously prepared, demonstrating high quality by scientists and experts from both Vietnam and abroad—especially 28 presentations and papers delivered at the conference—all of them not only reflect a diversity of perspectives but also demonstrate the dedication and responsibility of the authors in their aspiration to develop culture and creative education in the digital era.

Through the presentation sessions and lively discussions, the conference highlighted several key contents as follows:

In the Plenary Session, with 6 presentations by domestic and international authors, 8 direct discussion opinions, and 15 opinions submitted via the secretariat, the authors emphasized the intersection of digital technology, artificial intelligence, and the identification of cultural identity in education, arts, and knowledge systems. The presentations focused on how the digital era and digital media shape cultural awareness and well-being; the design of secondary schools as integrated knowledge systems incorporating AI and collective intelligence; future education with AI and the preparation of students for sustainable employment; as well as discussions on AI and education, the development of Vietnamese fine arts in cyberspace, and the reimagining of universities to promote creative culture with distinct identity in the context of digitalization. The conference particularly emphasized the importance of open education models, collaboration between humans and technology, and the role of public universities in shaping contemporary knowledge systems and culture.

Subcommittee Session 1, with 7 presentations on Creative Education and Sustainable Development in the Digital Era and 25 direct and indirect discussion opinions, affirmed that creative education needs to be strongly upgraded through the purposeful integration of AI and adaptive assessment, while promoting digital culture to personalize and enhance learning quality. Smart education models at both urban and national levels need to be built upon clear legal frameworks, with emphasis on developing creative thinking skills, adaptability to the Fourth Industrial Revolution, and connections between education, local culture, and traditions. Expanding creative and digital learning ecosystems will enable students to maximize their potential while preparing them to participate effectively in a high-tech society and a sustainable labor market.

Subcommittee Session 2 on Cultural Identity in the Digital Era, with 7 presentations and 24 direct and indirect discussion opinions, emphasized the diversity and adaptability of cultural spaces—from Thang Long–Hanoi to ethnic communities and traditional craft villages—amid the wave of digitalization. The papers reflected the role of modern technology in preserving and reinterpreting cultural identity, from connecting community memory and heritage to the formation of digital identity through online culture and foreign literature. At the same time, studies on geoculture, beliefs, and existential psychology show that cultural identity is being reshaped by the digital environment, requiring sensitive preservation strategies, open cultural exchange, and community participation to maintain unique cultural capital in the digital age.

Subcommittee Session 3 on Digital Applications in Culture and Communication, with 8 presentations and 28 direct and indirect discussion opinions, emphasized the role of AI and digitalization in enhancing educational quality and preserving cultural heritage in Vietnam. The papers focused on the application of AI in assessment and mathematics teaching at the general education level (SAMR model), developing communication skills and collaborative spirit for Grade 5 students, preserving and promoting heritage values in Hanoi through technology, as well as analyzing AI models and policies in cultural and educational fields. In addition, studies on AI-enabled creative educational content, enhancing the competencies of students in the 4.0 era, and the impact of performance technology on audience perception demonstrate that AI has the potential to expand access and improve the quality of learning and cultural experiences, while also raising requirements for legal frameworks, content quality standardization, and the preservation of local identity in the digital era.

Today’s conference is not only an academic forum but also an opportunity for us to affirm a strong commitment to promoting the development of culture and education in the digital era. The opinions and solutions presented at the conference will contribute to identifying foundational and influential factors as well as practical realities, thereby helping to shape appropriate approaches to technology and AI in culture and education.
