2. Functions and Responsibilities

      * Science and Technology

- Take the lead in the University's digital transformation initiatives.

- Research, propose, and coordinate the implementation of science and technology programs and projects, including projects to strengthen research capacity for laboratories.

- Develop and expand domestic and international cooperation programs and activities in science and technology.

- Conduct research and develop scientific and technological products; organize the application and transfer of scientific and technological achievements.

       * Equipment Management

- Manage and effectively operate computer laboratories, laboratories, practice rooms, and technological equipment serving teaching, learning, and scientific research, ensuring uninterrupted academic and research activities.

- Maintain, repair, upgrade, and ensure the stable operation of the University's Internet system, intranet, servers, computers, and printers.

- Manage the University's digital infrastructure and shared software systems; serve as the focal unit for organizing technical training on the operation and use of the University's technological equipment and systems.

3. Establishment

The Center for Science and Technology was established on June 6, 2017, under Decision No. 587/QĐ-ĐHTĐHN issued by the Rector of Hanoi Metropolitan University.

4. Development

Since its establishment, the Center for Science and Technology has continuously expanded its team of researchers to meet the University's growing needs in scientific research, technological innovation, and institutional development.

5. Development Orientation

The Center aims to become one of the University's key units for scientific research, technological innovation, and the practical application of science and technology. It prioritizes emerging fields such as artificial intelligence (AI), big data, smart materials, and energy-efficient technologies, while promoting innovation, technology transfer, and digital transformation to support the sustainable development of Hanoi Metropolitan University.
