2. Establishment

The Center for General Services was established on 1 November 2017 under Decision No. 1000/QĐ-ĐHTĐHN dated 10 October 2017, approving the establishment of the Center for General Services by the President of Hanoi Metropolitan University.

3. Development History

The Center for General Services is a functional unit under Hanoi Metropolitan University and operates under the direct supervision of the University's Board of Management. The Center consists of two operational divisions:

+ Project Division: Responsible for service business development, management and utilization of the University's facilities, procurement of equipment and services, marketing, and related activities.

+ Student Dormitory Division: Responsible for the management and operation of the University's student dormitory.

2017: The Center was established and focused on organizational development, staffing, and the implementation of its assigned functions and responsibilities.

2018: The Center began effectively utilizing the University's facilities and collaborated with both internal and external partners to provide a variety of educational support services.

4. Functions and Responsibilities

- Developing operational regulations and annual plans based on a self-financing management model to generate additional revenue for the University.

- Establishing and expanding partnership programs and cooperative activities that create lawful economic benefits for the University.

- Managing and operating the University's facilities for educational, service, and commercial purposes, while providing support services for faculty members, staff, employees, and students.

- Managing and operating the student dormitory, organizing support services for resident students, and coordinating with relevant units in student management and education.

- Coordinating with academic faculties and institutes to organize field trips, practical training, and professional practice activities for students.

- Coordinating with internal and external partners to provide official university uniforms for students and employees.

- Organizing student transportation services in accordance with the University's operational plans.

5. Major Achievements and Development Orientation

– Successfully supporting the organization of National Defense and Security Education (ANQP3) training programs.

– Maintaining stable security, parking, and other contracted services both within and outside the University.

– Effectively managing student accommodation and organizing dormitory activities while ensuring safety, security, and order within the student residence.

– Continuously modernizing service management through the application of information technology to improve operational efficiency and service quality.
