The 7th Scientific Conference for Young Staff

This is an annual conference organized at the university.

 

On November 29th, Hanoi Metropolitan University organized the 7th Scientific Conference for Young Staff. The conference serves as a forum for scientists, scholars, experts, young staff, and lecturers to present new research works, exchange academic ideas, network, and share experiences in the rapidly developing fields of scientific research today. Especially highlighted are the university’s key strengths in educational sciences, social sciences and humanities, economics, culture, tourism, and technology.

The conference was attended by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyễn Vũ Bích Hiền, Rector of the University; Ms. Nguyễn Thị Thuý, Vice Chairwoman of the University Council; Dr. Nguyễn Văn Tuân, Vice Rector; along with leaders of various unions, units, and young faculty members of the University.

In her opening speech, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyễn Vũ Bích Hiền affirmed that “young faculty members are an important resource and the future of the University. Therefore, professional development and scientific research must be continuously and regularly fostered. The Scientific Conference for Young Staff is an annual activity of Hanoi Metropolitan University, serving as a forum for young faculty to share their thoughts and concerns toward building an environment of academic integrity, creating motivation for young staff to strive for the development and advancement of the University.”

The conference was organized into two sessions. In Session 1, delegates focused on the fields of Educational Science and Social Sciences and Humanities, including topics such as “Building a Creative Learning Ecosystem Model across Educational Levels in Hanoi City” (presented by Master’s degree holders Tô Hồng Đức, Phạm Tuấn Anh, Đỗ Thị Thu Trang from the Office of Science and Technology Management and Development Cooperation), the report “Designing a Teaching Competency Assessment Framework” (presented by Master’s degree holder Hà Thu Thủy from the Faculty of Education), and the report “Model for Providing Psychological Counseling Services in High Schools in Vĩnh Phúc Province” (presented by Master’s degree holder Vũ Thị Thanh Nga from the Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities).

Session 2 focused on other scientific fields, such as “Developing Hanoi Cultural Experiential Tourism Products for Young People in Hanoi City” (Master’s degree holder Phạm Thị Bích Thủy, Faculty of Culture and Tourism), “Experience in Developing Green Logistics in Singapore and Lessons for Vietnam” (Master’s degree holder Nguyễn Thái Hà, Faculty of Urban Economics), and “Building the Movement to Protect National Security for Students of Hanoi Metropolitan University in the Current Context” (Master’s degree holder Nguyễn Thị Thu Hiền, Faculty of Sports Science and Health).

The reports received lively interest and discussion from the conference delegates. It is clear that the research trends among young faculty members at Hanoi Metropolitan University are oriented towards applied research, professional development, and improving the quality of education and training in their respective fields. Additionally, there is a focus on integrated applied research and technology applications to meet the demands of the rapidly ongoing digital transformation.

The conference demonstrated the university leadership’s attention and encouragement towards the scientific research efforts of its young faculty, providing a foundation and motivation for them to improve themselves, enhance their research capabilities, and contribute to the overall development of Hanoi Metropolitan University. At the same time, the conference also showcased the research capacity of the young academic staff within the university.
