The purpose of the quality assurance system, especially the internal quality assurance system of higher education institutions is to measure, control, and continuously improve the quality of all aspects of operations and training programs at higher education institutions.
The article is focused on analyzing the current status of the quality assurance system at Hanoi Metropolitan University, including: The organizational structure of the internal quality assurance system, the internal quality assurance information system, the engagement of concerned parties in internal quality assurance activities, and the workings of quality assurance tools and processes. On the basis of assessing strengths, weaknesses, challenges and opportunities, different measures have been recommended for the development of an internal quality assurance system with a view to meeting the quality requirements of training programs in accordance with acknowledged national and regional standards, thus providing high-quality human resources for Hanoi city as one of the key tasks assigned to Hanoi Metropolitan University in the period of 2021-2025 and in the years to come.
