2. Establishment Date
The General Services Center was established on November 1, 2017, according to Decision No. 1000/QD-DHTDHN dated October 10, 2017, approving the establishment proposal of the General Services Center by the President of Hanoi Metropolitan University.
Development Process
The General Services Center is a unit under Hanoi Metropolitan University, directly supervised by the University Board, consisting of 2 task groups:
Project Group: Business services, the university's infrastructure system; procurement of equipment, services; marketing, etc.
Dormitory Group: Management and operation of the university's dormitories.
In 2017, the Center was newly established and began organizing its structure, staffing, and defining functions and tasks. Initially, the Center has effectively implemented the tasks required by the University.
In 2018, the Center successfully utilized the facilities and coordinated with various units inside and outside the University to provide services within the education sector.
Functions and Responsibilities
Develop the operational mechanism and activity plan of the Center in the model of a self-financing unit to supplement the University's financial resources.
Develop and expand programs, activities, and partnerships aimed at generating legal economic benefits for the University.
Organize the exploitation of services, use the University's facilities, and other services to support staff, faculty, workers, and students of the University.
Manage and operate the dormitory, organize activities for boarding students; coordinate with related units in the education of the University's students as per regulations.
Lead and collaborate with academic departments to organize practical activities for the University's students.
Lead and coordinate with internal and external units to supply uniforms for students and staff of the University.
Organize student transportation services as per the University's directives.
Outstanding Achievements and Development Orientation
The Center has successfully organized various National Defense Education (ANQP3) programs.
Maintained stable security services, parking management, and contracts within and outside the University.
Managed and organized student activities in the dormitory (KTX) effectively, ensuring security and stability in the dormitory area.
The Center is modernizing and applying IT in service activities.
