Using open educational resources in postgraduate training at Hanoi Metropolitan university

The significance of infusing technology into education, particularly in the context of postgraduate training, has seen a remarkable surge, especially within the framework of the 4.0 era. This article suggests the adoption of Open Educational Resources (OER) as a valuable instrument, granting users access to a wide spectrum of freely available digital content, encompassing a diverse array of multimedia elements such as text, images, audio, video, and hyperlinks. Utilizing a theoretical research approach, particularly drawing upon extensive research on OER and OER products conducted by the Faculty of Education at Hanoi Metropolitan University, alongside their practical implementations, this paper strongly advocates for the widespread integration of OER to enhance the educational landscape. Hanoi Metropolitan University has taken a notable step in this direction by establishing a digital library in 2019. This repository hosts an extensive collection of over 20,000 eBooks, media files, and hyperlinks, meticulously tailored to address the diverse learning and research needs of its student community. Furthermore, the Faculty of Education has effectively embedded OER into the instructional process for primary education students. However, despite these commendable efforts, the concept of OER remains relatively unfamiliar to postgraduate trainees. This study aims to bridge this informational gap and contribute to an overarching enhancement of educational effectiveness within the realm of postgraduate training at Hanoi Metropolitan University.
