Quality assurance for application-oriented graduate training has begun to gain attention in our country in recent years. The teaching staff involved in the application-oriented graduate training process is the core and important force to improve the quality of training. The article discusses the country’s development and approach to quality assurance in application-oriented graduate training and how to develop and improve graduate training based on analysis. on current practices related to faculty development. Data were analyzed from documents and in-depth interviews with 12 participants from three universities in Hanoi city. The results showed that: Teaching staff is an urgent requirement to ensure the quality of application-oriented graduate training. However, the role of application-oriented graduate training quality assurance still has some limitations. Therefore, there should be recommendations on policies and mechanisms for the state and direct management agencies in postgraduate training in general and application-oriented graduate training in order to improve future quality training.
